cloud9 only came to rocket league so they would have more teams in the esports world cup. gamers 8 aka esports world cup orgs that have multiple games compete for the cup, and they recieve something like 600k$$ just for showing up. so basically this team will pay for itself and it gives them another game to compete in during the esports world cup. thats basically the only reason they came into rl again

Imagine having a 2 mill prize pool and only 1 mill goes to players when you can just host it in England and all the money goes to players
