Yeah Hyunsik and Sungjae were in the military during Kingdom and the Outsider mv but they have both come home now and I'm patiently waiting for a BTOB comeback with them all.

BTOB is pronounce B TO B (mean born to beat).They give their fans name as Melody. They’re 10 years group. A lot of their songs are produced by themselves. They have strong vocal line and rap line.Also all the members can rap and sing well. I am glad you will be looking into Kingdom. BtoB (debut 2012) are the type of idols that are never going to act like idols. I think CUBE gave up long ago keeping them in line. But that makes us love them more. Seeing all members back again was hilarious. BtoB did such a great job on Kingdom, I wasn't sure how a vocal group was going to compete against the performance groups but they made everything their own and really had a great time and seemed to help the other groups have fun too. My favorite performance from Kingdom is the vocal unit of Eunkwang (BtoB), Seungmin (SKZ) and Jongho (ATEEZ), it still gives me goosebumps.

I think they're rebels. They were trying to confess their sins to that girl, trusting them. But it turns out she was actually a spy of the military. Which was why Minhyuk was hung upside down as the girl appears. No one's ever covered 'I'LL BE YOUR MAN' successful. No one even dared till Kingdom. It's that hard of a song vocal and rap wise. LOVE IT!

I agree with the rebel storyline. I loved the part in Kingdom where they discussed doing I’ll be Your Man, Minhyuk said he wouldn’t sing and Changsub said they’d die if they did it. Lol

Chungsab is Key's (SHINee) military friend. Both of them was in military band. And they were super crazy duo. We didn't believe military was that good before seeing them having that much fun😂

Btob originally is a 7 member group that debuted in 2012 and primarily known for being a rare ballad idol group and also for being hilarious. They have a strong vocal lineup and they mostly write their own music. South Korean men must serve in the military and two of the members, Sungjae/Hyunsik were enlisted and the third member Ilhoon unfortunately left the group. Btob 4u is made up of the 3 members who finished their military service and Peniel who is an American and doesn’t need to serve. Btob is now fully back together as 6 members as of November 2021 and is expected to comeback in the early half of 2022.

I cant believe I miss Kingdom. But all groups gave such amazing performances. I cant complain sleeping late just to help to raise up the views. But BTOB stole many viewers' hearts being the oldest group in the competition yet the most appoachable one. They are everyone's favorite

Omg!! You're checking out BTOB too 🥺😭🤧 You'll hear a lot of key change if it's BTOB, whether it's the original melody or a random playful harmony they love doing anywhere anytime whenever they wish. There are a lot of great vocalists out there, but in BTOB all the vocal line is outstanding! They agreed they're all main vocals a few years after debut, actually. 😂

Yes! Kingdom is how I found out about BTOB. I fell in love with them through that. I usually dont like ballads but BTOB just does them so well. I came out of Kingdom with an Eunkwang and Minhyuk bias.

Just a fun fact to you since your bias in Red Velvet is Joy. Joy and Sungjae were actually in a reality show together which known as "We Got Married". In that show, they live together in a house while acting like a couple. That is how actually Joy become my bias cause I know her from that show.

BTOB's music is different from other groups, they are recognized as wonderful ballad singers, but they also incorporate various genres in their songs. They are B to B (Born to Beat). During Kingdom, the other 3 were in the military so only 4 members were there and that sub-unit is called BTOB 4U. They debuted in 2012 and is about to have their 10th anniversary this March. Known for their versatility, unique discography and amazing vocals, they are said to be the vocal/ballad kings of kpop. Each member is multi-talented so the group really consisted of 7 vocals, 7 rappers, 7 dancers and musicians. They write, compose and produce their own music..and they are NOT your usual kpop group and their songs and style are so unique. About the 3rd vid u reacted to, it's about civil war and the guy's a spy but has fallen for a girl. In the end, he was captured coz the girl betrayed his trust..I think that's it. If u want to try more of their songs, pls react to the their mvs of BEAUTIFUL PAIN, ONLY ONE FOR ME, IT'S OKAY, REMEMBER THAT and WAY BACK HOME. You'll see that their songs have messages of comfort and hope..giving them the title as healing idols. Also, they have that unique way of expressing how they feel with their songs..you'll get emotional whether u understand the lyrics or not. Ilhoon is main rapper and born in 1994. He is a composer along with Hyunsik and Minhyuk. He did songs like 'movie' which you reacted to in your next video and so many other songs like 'the feeling', 'red lie' etc etc. All btob members except Peniel have solo albums and you can see their individual interests there. But Peniel has digital singles. Most of their solos are self written or self produced. and also hyunsik and ilhoon and nowadays minhyuk compose their songs.

I am that melody looking for BTOB reactions at 3 am hahahah I'm so proud of them. I am happy to see we keep getting new melodies because for years it was us asking "why don't you like Btob?" their hurtful answer "Because they are ugly." this were international kpop fans. Korea and Japan loves Btob.

as someone who has been with btob since 2013/2014 when they debuted in 2012... i can honestly tell you their vocal line is Unmatched. even the members that arent the main vocalist can be a main vocal in any other group easily! btob isnt as popular internationally but in korea, they are very well-loved and well-known idols, specifically for their ballads. they appeared a lot on variety shows and they're extremely laid back and easy going people (extremely hilarious people too who have no filter at all) which appealed to the GP in south korea and also sungjae was an actor in a famous drama! hyunsik takes most part in the production of their songs and so did ilhoon and minhyuk. ilhoon left because of a dr^g scandal back in late 2020 and early 2021 and because of the stigma surrounding dr^g addiction, it's hard to seek rehabilitation for them and they have harder sentences.... it wasnt easy to see especially because it stemmed from the pressure in the music industry. ilhoon was actually an underground rapper too and was friends/acquaintances with namjoon (RM of bts) in those days. as much love as their vocal line got, i wished their rapline got more love n attention because *chefs kiss* they are excellent and ever since "i'll be your man" came out and minhyuk n ilhoon did that rap break in the final chorus it blew my mind ive never seen anyone do that and it was so cool to watch the live performances. i actually watched kingdom for btob (and ended up falling deep for ateez but thats besides the point heh) and i was wondering how they would compete because 3/6 of the teams were 4th gen groups and their performances were stronger and their choreography more intense, but btob somehow managed to evolve with 4/6 members (youre right sungjae and hyunsik were in the military then and they were discharged not long ago, so now all btob members have served their time in the military) and they played to their strengths while somehow managing to push their comfort zones and the transition was seamless! they were highly praised and respected for their tenure and experience. (minhyuk can also sing very well btw and since 2 of their vocalists were in the military, he had to pick up some of their parts and he sounds gorgeous. he once said that "i dont sing not because i cant, but because i choose not to.") i adore them very much btob will always have a special place in my heart and i hope ilhoon gets better and gets back on his feet one day! i wish nothing but happiness for btob 🥺

Well Missing You is Melody's "queen". Like you I really can't relate to the story of the song but you can't deny the emotion behind it. So in the end you will become a sucker to whatever songs they have to offer. Once you get into them you can't get out of the blackhole that is BTOB. They are the group that you can't put a specific genre because they have their own. And they're killing it.

With Missing you I think like, for me, I lost my father a year ago for cancer, so I relate to that song in the feeling of when you love someone and think you can't live without them, being a lover or not, and then you suddenly lose them. And just when you thought that your life was gonna fall apart you find your life moving on and you keep living, but always feeling that something is missing, so you keep going with a void inside you and this reminds you everytime that you lost the one and you can't have them back. And i think this is the scariest Ps: sorry if I made some mistakes, English is not my first language! Love from Brazil 💙

Whoooo! BTOB, so yip when outsider came out Hyungsik and Seungjae were doing their military enlistment but they have now recently been discharged and reunited and honestly like others are saying we can’t wait for a full comeback. Now also spotted was their 7th member and that was Ilhoon, lead rapper, he had to do his enlistment but was also prosecuted for purchase and use of marijuana to which only a few weeks ago he was sentenced to 2yrs in jail for but is out and 3yrs probation with his enlistment service now continuing. During this he officially had to withdraw from the group which is a really emotional memory for the members as well as the fanbase, who are known as Melodies. Melody are super kind and friendly as a fanbase overall and like the group get on and are supportive of other groups and fandoms. Their official fan colour is slow blue. Outsider - totally you got the point of the MV that they have mundane everyday lives but wish they were different the one in a million that was the exciting version. Visually they show it with movie characters and yes again this will suggest what they do in most mvs that they are easily the most musical theatre group I could name. It’s just they tell stories so we’ll with their acting and singing that they do put on a show every comeback. (Also note lots of members act in kdrama, no coincidence lol). Anyway outsider has Eungqwang as the zombie in warm bodies who was ‘different’ to the other zombies, minhyuk with his bright hair in a monochrome world living the sin city style when he’s driving, changsub who works in a small old office is the boss just like in great gatsby and Peniel lives out his casino dream of being like James Bond. Each the ‘outsider’ in their stories these are characters that changed the mould, and lead the way more exciting version of otherwise boring lives. Missing you - emo hours. That song throws me cause the notes at the start are actually quite uplifting being in a major key but soon the vocals soar about pain and there are acting btob on screen breaking our hearts with tears. Emotive, powerful and super popular song for other groups to cover. I’ll be your man - dramatic heartbreak, lol. They act out the extremes to which they would go for their love, for they are all in to protect but are betrayed by that love each in their own way. Always stays with me the making of cause Minhyuk was very cold with his make up staff doing great work on effects but then literally strapped and hung upside down quite high up was real commitment to the drama of the MV and idea they had. I know you said looking to watch Kingdom, I would recommend Road to kingdom that ran before it and created a kind of semi final where one group went forward to kingdom but 6 groups - TOO (now TO1), Verivery, The Boyz, Oneus, Pentagon and Golden Child. It has some amazing performances and stages that would lead you right into Kingdom: Legendary War. Also side note, mnet suck. They did some really rotten things during kingdom and rtk and it’s just accepted that there is shoddy lighting/camera work/disparaging budgets and lots more between groups in both shows and all the fandoms from both agree to dislike them unanimously. The fans focus solely on the stages, the collabs and mostly the amazing interactions we get from the shows but literally everything outside of the groups is a giant train wreck on these shows. Lol 😂 Acting - you can catch Sungjae in a few super successful kdrama, Goblin is a leading drama very well known and he’s a supporting cast in that but is brilliant in his role. Also his leading role in Mystic Pop Up Bar was brilliant and his parting gift before enlisting. Eunkwang has done lots of stage musicals like Monte cristo, the three musketeers, hamlet, Excalibur etc. Minhyuk was in new leaf, sweet savage family, Monstar (with changsub, hyungsik and Sungjae) and love & war 2 as well as appearing in web dramas. He was in the movie Swordsman too. Changsub like Eunkwang has been in lots of stage musicals like Marie Antoinette, Boys Over Flowers and more. Hyungsik has been in Monstar and variety series law of the jungle. Peniel has a podcast with BM of Karl and Ashley from Ladies Code. There are so many other little things about them you will come to know over time watching them but my fav things I would say are: they are absolutely the biggest crackheads in kpop. Lol I mean I thought Got7 were pretty high, VIXX, Monsta X but I hadn’t discovered BTOB. Lol the craziest I would say is Sungjae and Changsub and when they combo it’s really just a matter of time before the rest descend into chaos. They are all funny, sweet and supportive of each other. I think watching kingdom you will get a sense of the core of the group but if you keep watching and see those in variety shows you will get the overall images of them well. Songs/stages - I would recommend some of their solo or special stages too like: Minhyuk who is Huta when solo and his MV ‘Ya’ and ‘Tonight’ from his solo album Hutazone. His recent songs Goodnight (lyric MV), and cover of ‘sofa’. Dreamy vocals from a rapper. He has also the boys day stage he did with VIXX Hongbin, Nu’est REN, and I forget the guy from A-Jax but it’s an iconic x dressing stage where they used to have a day when boy groups would dress full on as girls and perform a girl group stage. (VIXX did this with 5/6 members on a show and is also good to watch). Hyungsik - his ‘Dear Love’ was right before enlisting and I loved it, the MV is great too. Sungjae - MV ‘Come With The Wind’, so sweet with animation too. Changsub - MV ‘Gone’ is uwu with soaring vocals. Eunkwang - he’s done OST’s and his MV for ‘No One Knows’ is sweet, but I love the Imortal Song stage he did with his actual mom ‘With Love’, his stage on the singing show Song Festival where he sang ‘I believe’. Peniel - solo MV B.O.D is very different lol also ‘Flip’ Ilhoon - MV ‘gone’ and ‘Always’ (with Pentagon Jinho) BTOB - Beautiful Pain, Movie, Remember That, Way Back Home, It’s Okay, the Winters Tale, Thriller Btob Blue (first sub unit while others on enlistment) - When It Rains

Thank you very much for your reaction to BTOB! As others have pointed out, their group name is pronounced as BEE TO BEE which stands for Born TO Beat. They debuted last 2012 as 7 members. Up until 2018, they promoted as 7 but the members had to go to the military (well except Peniel since he’s an american citizen). From late 2020 to late 2021, they promoted as 4 (eunkwang, minhyuk, changsub and peniel) since the other members were still in the military. I’m so happy with what you said that BTOB doesnt give off the typical kpop vibe. They kind of started off with the kpop vibe when they debuted but as time went by, they were trying to look for their sound which is the reason why their discography is very broad since they dont stick to just one genre. As fans, we always say that BTOB’s genre is “BTOB genre” since they can do ballads, rock, jazz, alternative, funk, etc. I’m looking forward to more reactions from you! I love BTOB so much and they are incredibly popular in Korea for their ballad work (and goofy behavior). For example, "Missing You" charted number one on like all of the charts when it released and that's my favorite song of theirs tbh. I can relate to it and it's my go-to karaoke song when I'm having a drink alone. They actually performed it while drunk during a DINGO video and it's one of my favorite things to go back to. BTOB feel like a home where I can always return and feel comfort while those older brothers make me laugh. Plus, Melody is such a respectful and kind fanbase.

Woow! Finally its BTOB! (It is pronounced as B TO B) It means BORN TO BEAT. if i am not mistaken they were a month older than EXO, in terms of debut in 2012. Their first songs were usually the pop songs and since most of them are vocals they kinda switch it on singing ballad but they also sing pop songs too until now. During that outsider mv, Hyungshik and Yungjae was in the military. Actually Ilhoon was in the military too but unfortunately due to his drug issues he quit being a BTOB member and he was busy that time for his case. Missing you, if I'm not mistaken, was written by Hyungshik. Fun facts: Sungjae (maknae) was married to Joy of RV on We got married Show. It was a variety show in Korea in which artists/idols will be married and they didn't know who they end up with. The producers of that vshow were usually the one who will pair up the 2 artists. The air-time show of per couple depends on how popular they were on the viewers. Peniel was the only one who cannot go to military because he has US citizenship. Other fans also paired up Irene of RV to Ilhoon because they have the same aura. They have the cold aura and kinda have this silent ON mode. They were paired during Joy and Sungjae wedding on the show. For me they're so cute by the way. The group's last album that they were complete was the This is Us. 2018 Present: Hyungshik and Sungjae were already released from military enlistment.
