There's no other voice like Frida's voice: it's so sweet, deep, soothing and very professional - sounds like it's so easy to do (which is not!). Her humbleness is something I've always admired with Frida. I will love you for ever, Frida, you are one of the greatest artists of the 20th and 21st centuries!

Frida's clear sweet voice really made this as beauticul a song as she is. As Björn said, Frida can sing anything. In my opinion this is one of ABBA's most under-rated songs. Thank you very much for sharing.

It's slightly irritating that songs off 'The Visitors' album have comparatively few views on here against the likes of 'Dancing Queen' and 'Mamma Mia'. Because in my view it's arguably their best album. They truly were brilliant right to the end. And this video? The best I can say is that it's hard to imagine it being improved upon. Dark and theatrical. Flows with this great song beautifully. Very well done to you.

Not my favourite of the album because thats Slipping Through My Fingers, but the whole album is full of master pieces. the album is underappreciated
@wandajames62346 жыл бұрын
Very under appreciated. maybe because they were falling apart as a group and I don't think their hearts were into promoting their songs as ABBA anymore-- they were all thinking of their own careers at that time. But hopefully people can appreciate it now via these wonderful videos made by dedicated fans to whom we owe a debt of gratitude.
@paullewis24136 жыл бұрын
@chelseacharger. Irritating maybe but not surprising. This is their least "commercial" album so it will naturally not attract the same mass audience. Doesn't matter, the important thing is that they made it and what a way to bow out - "The Day before you came", (added later), their best song and one of the best ever IMO.

The author of the video is genius. I always wondered why ABBA never released this masterpiece as a single and never shot video for it. It's well understood that this song doesn't fit TV/radio play due to its duration but it's worth to be a single. Whenever I hear this song, it always cuts me to the bone and almost makes me cry due to emotional vocals and breathtaking music. So strange that Carl Magnus Palm in his ABBA biography book "Bright Lights, Dark Shadows" said that the 1981 ABBA's album is a kinda cold-sounded and non-emotional, and he did not say a single word about this masterpiece song. I think that RJS have fixed such the historical injustice by making this video which actually is a masterpiece as well. I always imagined the same pictures in my mind while I was listening to this song. Maybe, it would be nice to add a couple of frames with Frida singing and a couple of ABBA shots to video, but it's only IMHO. Anyways, my respect and many thanks to the author!

This video is everything I've imagined about this song and more. The darkness, the candles, the old-time-y, church-y surrealism of it all. It sort of reminds me of trapeze artists in a circus or a very dramatic part in a huge play where everyone is swinging around and singing. I just want to scream the chorus at the top of my lungs.

ABBA TV before MTV. What ABBA/Polar Music, the self contained indie band/tiny home label did, was school the American-British monopolistic establishment. Those ABBA videos (ABBA TV before MTV) is one of the ways ABBA went around the know-it-all, do it our way, American-British monopolistic establishment. ABBA pissed off a lot of the insecure within the music establishment, particularly in America with ABBA's very polite middle finger to the American pop/rock establishment middlemen, who could not get in ABBA's pockets. ____ And ABBA has always 'Let The Music Speak'... not their videos. A slick video does not make music better. The music will ALWAYS rule. ABBA are smart enough to understand this.
