Great video! I had one of these 3 weeks ago. Phone call came in at 4 p.m... With the front door facing west, and we all know at 4 p.m. in the middle of june in vegas it's like 200 degrees outside and feels like 300 degrees. Lock had not been used in probably 20 years. I tried everything, lishi, single pin picking it etc.. nothing. Ended up raking a titan at the back of the house to get in. Took the lock off the door, used a lishi and picked in less than a minute.. Got the best sun tan of my life.

At this point, I think a Lishi pick should come with a complimentary cowboy hat. 😁

One of the things I've found in being a locksmith is that while I have learned a lot about many locks you can't help but feel like you're missing something important. Jason, you are filling many of the gaps and confirming many of the things I've learned. Thanks and keep it up.

Nice Video. I am really looking forward to the Schlage Wafer video as I have never seen one IRL. Re Bumping you will always have really good luck on any mastered systems, the more master wafers, the more shear lines are created. I can see your SC1 Lishi has some wear on it . 12 and 6 in case you need to drill out the screw posts.

I just noticed I have that same .003 pinning kit that I use in the house when someone drops off a lock or two to re-key. I see a lot of these Schlage locks in knobs but mostly the deadbolts (which are F as well?) locally. I got into the habit of using a shim as I blew up so many cylinders starting out. Great tip on remembering which way you turned the key to pop off the knob. That explains another issue I had! Thanks Jason! #lockforce

My buddy Jason. I have to say I've learned a lot from this video my friend. I can't remember if I've sent any of my F-series followers I designed with the help of Jeff Moss.

I've actually designed one with the F-series on one side and the Schlage modular cylinder on the other.

Hmm, actual beautiful Wood knobs on a Schlage wafer cylindrical lock set - even quality when Schlage was making a "cheaper" lockset (I still see the Schlage wafer locks out there occasionally and they are still working perfectly, even today). PS: thanks Jason for the one I have, my "Woodie"...

This is a great series Jason, thanks so much for doing it! I was totally expecting you to whip out the plug spinner so that was a great tip that you can still remove the knob even if it’s been picked to the locked position. Nice that you used the Kwikset poker to remove the knob 😁 If you haven’t seen Deviant Ollam’s videos on “super bump” keys they’re worth watching, especially “How To Make Your Own Schlage "Super" Bump Key” and also see his use of little rubber O rings (aka “castration bands” ::shiver::) at 0:50 in “The "Super" Bump Key... Now in Exciting New Schlage Flavor!”; they seem to really speed up the bumping process. Anyway can’t wait for the deadbolt and A series videos. Thanks again 🙏👏😊

Jason, with all your experience why didn't you use a DND key with the bigger head so you don't hurt your fingers? But your the master so forget what I said. I've bumped them with SC4 bump keys so y'all know that. When I SPP these locks I use a very light tension and it seems to work.. I've never Lishied one of these though, you got magic hands I guess or I got a Made In China Lishi.

🤔 "J" I'm more of a handyman trying to get better. Is there a way to identify a Schlage Keyway? Also thanks for the lockforce stickers!😊
