I it imperative to remove the primary gear when splitting the cases? I'm planning on doing the 6th gear install, and the puller is out of stock until July. Thanks

Excellent videos on motor disassembly but I can not find the video explaining how to add the 6th gear or parts needed. Can you share the link to that video?

@@rmatvmc video 4 shows the transmission being installed into the case but what I’m asking is where is the video showing the breakdown of the transmission removal of all the gears off the main and counter shafts showing the extra parts needed to add 6th gear.

VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE!!!!!! The collar on the end of the countershaft that is seen at 13:47 in this video is not shown in your rebuild video of the same motor! I learned that the hard way...LOL

What's the part number for that 6th gear addition. And would it work on 2019 450sxf

The primary gear doesn't need to come off to do the 6th gear add, right? Probably nothing but the clutch need to come off the right side of the engine.

Ça sert à rien de bloquer le pignon de sorti de boite pour desserrer l écrou de la noix. La noix tourne toute seule et rien ne peu l empêcher de tourner. En tout cas sur les 2 temps. J comprends pas comment vous faites en bloquant le pignon. On a aussi tendance à oublier de remplacer les roulements de pignon d arbres de boite. Ces roulements en dessous des pignons.
