I saw an interview with Gyllenhaal and O'Connor. The interviewer asked about how O'Connor played the role. He said the director said, "You know how you act in front of the cameras at the weigh ins? Act like that".

With the sleeping in your car and having a cop tell you to move on... I've had that happen to me once, told them I had been out drinking and had to many to drive. Had two friends in the car with me and they were trying to figure out when I was drinking but at least keep quiet until we drove somewhere else.

South Florida has the American Saltwater Crocodile. They can be found from Cape Canaveral to Key West. Also in the Everglades. American Saltwater Crocodiles are less aggressive than their cousins in the South Pacific. But a crocodile is a crocodile so I wouldn’t press my luck on my not becoming diner……

Connor McGregor playing himself. I don't think he knows how to be anything but extra. While I'm not a fan of his he was entertaining. All in all I went in watching this with zero expectations. After hearing some good reviews I took a chance. I was so surprised at how good it was. I wish they would have named it something else. While there was some awesome throwbacks to the original and Jake had gotten a tattoo with the initials 'P.S.' after he got the part.

Connor said in one of his roadhouse interviews that this is not a remake of the road house, it's a reimagination of it! Plus if you ever saw the movie donnie darko with gyllenhaal in that movie he tells a young overweight teenage girl that her life would change, I guess not! she is back knocking on his boat door LOL!!!

I really liked this one. Knox was one of my favorite characters. I did not like the Austin Post fight it took me out at the beginning with the CG punches but after that i liked it.

This reimagined version of roadhouse was very well done, the fight scenes are really good, the story is solid, the villians hilarious and the change of location was refreshing , the soundtrack is brilliant. Connor and Jakes battle at the end was excellent.For anyone dissing this film dont forget one thing the original was full of cheese and corny moments and had a really poor ending.

I enjoyed this remake. Not perfect but entertaining. And FYI, Cuban coffee and black coffee are different. It’s like the difference between riding a bike and a rollercoaster. You discover that the hard way.

I like some of the older one better, but I would take Connor as the villain over the dude with the earring. I would even say Jake was as good as Swayze. At least they made him more of a real fighter. Not that Tai chi garbage. Sam Elliot though, he stole the show in the original, and was by far the best part.

I think it's the writing that let this down, it just didn't have the charm of the original or anything that makes it memorable. It's no surprise that McGregor can't act, but if his character had been written better he could have really added something to the movie, and unfortunately Jake Gyllenhaal just didn't have much to work with, and his troubled past just seemed like an afterthought because if that really happened everyone in that bar and definitely every one of those bikers would have known Exactly who he was. They would have been better off changing 1 or 2 scenes and calling it something different... no one would have ever compared it to Roadhouse and it would have at least been your average popcorn flick.

The fights weren't CGI. They had the actors punch pads and inserted people reacting to them. It looks weird. First time someone has done this, but it will probably be the norm in 4 or 5 years

I only had a problem with the first fight. It was absolutely terrible. It's like they just took the first take on every shot. If Kubrick was directing this the combatants would have done every single shot at least 100 different times to make sure it was correct. While I want to blame the director, this could also just be a casting issue. It seems likely this Post Malone dude was probably paid quite well for very little time on the set. They weren't gonna double his pay just to get all the shots right. Anyways, I thought the other fights were pretty good. It's not like fights in 80s movies like Road House were super incredible themselves.
