Ha, when Mikey said American Beauty doesn't hold up for reasons at the beginning, and he zoomed in on a name that wasn't Kevin Spacey, I had to be like, "oh yeah, I'm from the future."

hard same, especially since i don't even get the problem with alan ball. like true blood was trashy, but it was also mostly good anyway. plus, six feet under tho.

I've paused the video less than a minute in to just figure out what the Alan Ball thing is. I liked True Blood, and according to my wife its 100x better than the books.

Surprised you didnt mention the scene after Michael witnesses his mother and brother getting killed. He walked to the front door and came face to face with their murderer. But, because it was dark out and the lights were on inside, Daniel Craig's character didnt see him through his own reflection. A true audience gasp moment

So! this is the first film I watched because I found you to be a fantastic reviewer.... and i realized if I missed out on a movie that you did review of then it was time to solve some problems. spoilers I actually skipped your review of this until after I had a chance to watch this for the first time. Funny side note to kick things off you actually highlighted one of the things I absolutely loved about this film, its long shots are brilliant. In a day an age where doing long shots wasn't exactly easy that hallway scene is amazing. Outside of the fact that this movie is absolutely fantastic, and I am certainly glad I finally watched it. I get a little bit of extra joy knowing that it is a father son story, and knowing my father (who passed away) I know he certainly watched this movie as he loved tom hanks movies (an my mom even admitted she thinks she saw part of this film but then lost interest). so it just hit me a little bit more in the feels then i was expecting because yet again i was faced with a film I would have loved to have shared the experience of watching it together with him. Anyway! this is a long comment for a movie review done in 2015. But I just gotta say I will absolutely sort out the other movies you have done that I haven't seen yet. lets see if you do a vote in reverse just for fun.... Zodiac, the long kiss goodnight, or the grand budapest hotel. you did reviews of these an i haven't seen them. if you reply to this with one of them I will absolutely do it next. If you don't reply I will still do all three but in random order. Keep up the good work sir!

Great stuff as always, Mikey. Confession: MwM is basically the only reason I'm subscribed to this channel. As to your next project, Hot Fuzz is the only one of the three I haven't seen a single frame of, but I feel like AI is just so dense, with so many layers to pick apart.

I finally got around to seeing the film and while it is phenomenal, I was somewhat disappointed the sequence at 1:52 wasn't like that. Your editing for that bit is astounding and works great as a trailer for the movie as a whole!

Mikey, I'm thrilled with either of your first two options. Since you picked Perdition, I'm going to assume we have identical taste in movies and suggest Death to Smoochy when you get around to it. Also, another thing we 'tubers do is collaborate. Idk if that's something we can make happen given our totally different chosen genres, but if you get the chance-- I'm down to chat.
