Green water is a sea term for when a lot of residual water remains on deck after a tidal wave washes over the ship. The issues faced by the Sea Star was the weight of the barge taking on water, the towline breaking under heavy strain, knocked out radar and comms, and damage to the hull and deck once the towing winch broke from the tug after such tremendous pulling force from the sinking barge.

It's further complicated by the fact that the entity isn't the whole organism that encountered the space station as most of it flew by. So the intelligence may be a fragment of an idea or a desire. Or maybe it isn't that space entity at all just a reaction caused in the space station. The thing that hit the space station might not even be alive just a catalyst to create this thing.

This was honestly a really interesting movie. And it's probably one of the first movies I've ever watched before seeing a Roanoke video about it.

"Steve". I laugh every time Squeeky shows up and only calls his name.

My favorite line from Roanoke: “ Show them why we’re made in Gods image and they’re not. Go humanity”

so, i really enjoy your content. so much so, that i even sometimes just watch one of your videos instead of a movie. now, i was wondering: have you ever considered making maybe a series of videos that go even deeper into the medical and scientific side of things? especially neurophysiological stuff and generally how the brain works is so interesting and ESPECIALLY when you also factor in philosophical thoughts (like the origin of thought itself in this video), it becomes even more interesting. not sure if many people share this sentiment, but i'm also a nerd among nerds. you just have a knack for putting scientific, sometimes probably pretty dry stuff into entertaining essays and that is a skill that not many people have . or to put it in simpler terms: you make learning fun! (maybe do a poll on deepsea creatures first and get the anglerfish stuff out of the way)
