I met Robin when he was coming out of the arena in Florida in 1985. he was completely awesome to us. I just remember how big he was. I couldn't say anything nicer about him and he signed autographs for us and talked to us about his Jackson guitars. I never knew that a lot of the finishes were just primer and his friend did the artwork on them. he took the time to answer our dumb questions and never seemed bored. Can't say the same about pearcy He was rude to us.

I have always heard and read the same about Robin. A great dude who just got lost his life to drugs. 😢

Robbin Crosby had very good taste with his guitar choices. They all look killer and classy. I really like this guy and his guitar playing in RATT (obviously the two paired right, Robbin Crosby and Warren DeMartini) (.... and you guys at Diablo Guitars, you are killing it all the time ..!!! Every video, I'm like: "OMG, this one is so fu****n great, I want it .....!!! ahaha !!!)

I'm not normally into flashy guitars but that sparkle Firebird made my heart skip a beat. Bold without being gaudy. Thanks for showing it off.

That's so cool Parker. If you like the guitar and feel you want to keep it, I wouldn't sell it immediately. This will always have its value. Robbin Crosby is an icon of metal. I also like the condition of the guitar, it has aged very beautiful. Thanks for sharing this piece of rock history.

Man, those are a couple of badass Firebirds! The G. E. Smith Custom Original was so cool to see. I remember it from 30 years ago, but it was mostly in background shots in standard definition. Seeing it in 1080 under the proper lighting was absolutely exhilarating!

I loved the 'Invasion of Your Privacy' album. Looking at an interview with Robbin from that era you realise what a giant he was.

Crosby is a legend. I'm not writing that he's underrated because fortunately I often read online from Ratt fans, or guitarists/musicians how much they liked him and considered his songwriting and guitar contributions to Ratt to be very important. And it is 100% true, especially in the first couple of years of Ratt. The Cellar and Invasion albums would never have been as good without him, not to mention the EP from '83. He also wrote some great and successful songs for later albums, just think of 'I Want A Woman', for which he also played the solo. The Jackson King V was originally made for him, named after his nickname, "King". However, my favorites are Robbin's Jackson Firebird guitars. Their look is both classic, reminiscent of an '50s car (shape of the body), yet modern at the same time due to the Floyd Rose tremolo and the inverted Concorde headstock.

Beautiful guitars. I wish I could stand playing that body shape, they are beyond cool.

I’ve been surprised to see how RATTs music has aged. I think they were one of the best bands of the 80’s.

Thank you for your video. You have 1980’s Ratt and Roll history with Robbin Crosby’s original guitar. It is nice to know he did not sell all of his guitars to buy heroin as the saying goes desperate people do desperate things or did he sell his guitar to the devil for heroin. You should give the guitar to Robbins family he did have two sisters or to sell the guitar to Stephen or Warren they were band members and friends or to sell it to Ratt and Roll fans because there are a lot of them.

Damn that gold hardware doesn't look like it shows any wear at all. Gold plated stuff on guitars usually wears off so easily around the edges. I see you say it was polished recently. I wonder if somebody had it re-plated.

I aquatinted w a mutual friend of George Lynch's he was friends w Robin .... I had no idea the struggles he faced plus reading Slash's sobriety book Just so submerged in addiction ..... Anyway Mark R. - George's friend had some of his guitars and then other pictures when I went over to his house to look at a guitar he was selling that George used in that Dio Stars aid shred-a-thon just a straight fender strat I still flash on all those things how it can just happen so quick I paid w to much attention to Warren not knowing how accomplished Robin was on lead guitar The guy was wicked edgy good ... Myself I'm 18 years sober. Edit::: I never saw so many Jackson Firebirds unaware that they even existed other than his arsenal....
