My uncle was a hypnotherapist. He’d help people stop smoking or something with anxiety and sleep. I used to listen to a cassette of his to help fall asleep when I was a kid lol. He told me some people can be hypnotized and some can’t, it doesn’t work for everyone. Some of the clips you show are just silly visualization exercises. I think they’re operating on the placebo effect

I don't think my brain is wired to be open to hypnosis because I'm still mentally decorating the round room. First it started off very cream colored so I had to redo it. Does the round ceiling have a medallion? Round makes me think of a Rococo ceiling mural. But do I really want Rococo in the room? Maybe I'll start with the chairs... perhaps something in a deep berry velvet... By the time I finish decorating this thing, the ex that was supposed to sit down for a chat is in some other woman's round room talking about their failed relationship.

My son took a course to become a hypnotherapist. He didn't take the follow up year as my daughter in law became pregnant (with the help of my son) so instead of forking out the dosh again, they saved it for the identical twin boys they had, instead.❤❤ He wanted to practice on me and I told him to do the "How to lose weight" stuff on me. He forgot to bring his notes or prompt cards or whatever it was he was going to use so instead, he did the "How to be more confident" on me. I had to go down the stairs and into a room that was beautiful. I remember I had to turn a large crystal doorknob to open the door. The room was more like a flower garden than a room you'd find in your house. This was my head making it look like this by the way, not him. Anyway, I don't really remember much else apart from coming back up the stairs and feeling good. The following week I signed up for a course in computers, at our local college. I passed every module. I was heartbroken and angry with myself when on one module I scored 98% and not the hundred like I did with the others. Maybe I could use another session with him but he'd probably have me eating onions or have me thinking I'm a chicken. 🤣🐓

Mmmmkay, I have to put my professional hat on for a minute. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who is able to practice clinical hypnosis due to my actual training in my counseling program and per the laws of the state I am in. We have ethics we have to follow. There are VERY specific things we would do or not do to prepare and create a script for a client. I won’t get into the details because it was an entire semester in a Masters level program, but Robert, you seem to know more about hypnosis than any of these people you showed. Sheesh. Friends, if you’d like help with something and genuinely want to try hypnosis, please find someone who is also licensed with your state (or country) medical board / department of health. Ethics are so important when using this technique and you want someone who is held to ethical standards or they lose their hard-earned medical license. It may even be covered by your insurance that way, too. Get someone who can attend to your needs and wants and preferences and can write a script tailored for you, and then make adjustments with your feedback. I hope that helps a little bit!

Hey Robert. My dad can hypnotize people. It requires a rhythm and tone to ur voice that is a low register, very slow and articulated. He was skiing on a mountain where u literally were air lifted there and u had to ski down to society. No instructors or ski lifts or anything. A woman fell really bad against a tree and broken her leg & shattered her pelvis. They couldn’t move her so my dad and a couple friends stayed with her and the rest went for help. It took over an hour for the helicopter to come. My dad had hypnotized this lady so well that she couldn’t feel the pain and wasn’t panicking. Some people do have the talent but it also requires the participating person to be open to it. Anyway luv ur content always 🫶🏻☺️

I have been hypnotized twice; apparently I am a good candidate for it. In both cases it was in front of an audience, and they had me do silly things (like they told me that I didn’t have any bones, and I slithered off the chair). But I remember it all happening, and I just remember thinking “oh, this is really silly, and I all of these people are watching, but, I just didn’t care”. But I’ve never experienced any situation when I would do something without being aware of it.
