I am too young to have been born and seen the original Robocop but it is one of my favorite movies of all time and this is one of my favorite games. It does so many things right. The fact there was a memory leak issue during the demo and the devs fixed it within 2 days (if that) says something. Peter Weller coming to this was a surprise when I saw the trailer but it made me so happy. Easily one of the best games this year.

For the people that have played and liked RoboCop Rogue City, should really give Terminator Resistance a go as well, since it’s made from the same developers. The base game along with the expansion, is a must play for any fan of the first two Terminafor Films.

The reason I'm not particularly interested with Terminator Resistance is that I have no interest playing a human soldier I'd rather play as a Terminator I know there is a T-800 DLC mode but it's not really the main focus of the game. Also the last few Terminator films kinda ruined the franchise for me and I'm burnt out tbh.

​@@route77productions It made it before the cut off date. The journalists on the voting panels just didn't vote the game in for any nominations, in any of the categories. But it was obvious because how the game was reviewed across the board. It's unfortunate because the game is great. Sure it's not AAA, but who cares. The game is extremely fun, great shooting mechanics, really good story, true to the source material, feels similar to Deus Ex in the choice making, and some of the crime solving mechanics. Overall a solid 8 out of 10 for me.

The moment I fell in love with this game was when I realized ballshots did just as much damage as headshots. Incredible. Also, the rock music in the game is surprisingly catchy. 'Need it Fluk? Take It Nuke' is a highlight.

It's shocking that it's actually a good game! And it's made from the devs, that did that god awful Rambo video game back in 2013. And that Terminator game was good too! I would love to see them make a Predator game, and I hope it's kind of like Predator: Concrete Jungle from the OG Xbox and PS2. And also I would love to see them do a Evil Dead game.

@@meatpie7166 never got around to watch the Evil dead series, so unsure how much they flesh out the time between Evild Dead 3 and it, but that could also work, for sure. If it's just Bruce Willis' voice, it may be more likely that they could get him, but even if we didn't get the exact voice, I could see them doing Die Hard. Other than that, maybe let them make an actual, good Rambo game, which would forever redeem them for that on-rail Rambo game they did, which was pretty bad.

@@chriswihulu Yeah I think a Die Hard game could still work without Bruce Willis. Last good Die Hard game was Die Hard Trilogy from the PS1, god I hope Nightdive Studios remaster that game. And I think Rambo should be a 3rd person shooter. Imagine a True Lies game! with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis doing there voices for the game.

I love this game. I was 13 when RoBoCop came out. This game really made me feel like I was playing an extension of RoboCop 2. I guess someone who doesn't have a history with the franchise would not love it as much as me, but it was a great trip down memory lane for me.

I still hold my belief that Entropy Effect is the best AA game that released this year, but it is definitely nice to see a legacy movie character like Robocop getting the respect he deserves in the modern age

I play more AA games now than AAA just because many of the AA games are just better games with actual game play and not mostly movie cutscenes. Robocop Rogue City is a freaking awesome game. shooting with the classic robocop gun is so satisfying and just everything in the game I literally remember from the original movies. One huge plus is that they got Peter Weller to voice Robocop and Peter Weller was Robocop in the movies.

Just a heads up, if you want all achievements you'll need points in engineering for the ability to hack turrets later in the game Idea for a video Alex, with Teyon having now made not only a good Terminator game but a good Robocop game as well, which old movie IP should they tackle next? Total Recall, Demolition Man, Escape From NY/LA, The Thing, Screamers, Critters, Death Wish, Die Hard, Big Trouble In Little China, etc?

In the later levels you can hack them via computers. I got the achievement without engineering points.

@@KratosisGod I did have an idea for a rogue like game mode, based on that movie's setup and concept, where you balance stealth, tactics and ambushes, to survive the 200 floors between you and MaMa. Since it practically only takes place inside the Peachtree Housing Block, there would have to be a lot of gameplay variety, as you progress upwards, but I can see it working.

I think we still get a lot of those AA diamonds. The media refuses to talk about them, I don't hear much, but for sure some find some success. Think gamepass brings some of these to light from time to time. Very nice video, it made me want to play the game.

Given their previous love letter to the Terminator's future war, I'd love to see the developer give us some 'Robocop Vs Terminator' action too.... 🤨 Something similar to the Infiltrator mode in Terminator: Resistance. A full game may be a bit much but a short and sweet take on the old comic/game could be fun.

I have to recommend this video for some “Robocop” newbs….so many people slept on this franchise it’s crazy…I’ve watched reactors to the movies say they didn’t think it was gonna be that good, or that they thought it would be silly…😂 im like it literally was a movie that if you liked Terminator youd like robocop back then they delivered on there fronts…a recent reactor was just watching the first film and i told him watch the second movie and play the game sense he seems to be into it deeply now

I was I could do a mind-wipe ahead of the upcoming new game plus. This game was such a good time. I went back and re-watched Robocop and then watched 2 for first time. The sequel isn’t bad but the original is such a great movie. Such efficient film making and smart in unexpected ways. But I hope this gets DLC and then a sequel. I’m torn, I like that the game design is a bit of a throw back to mission based games with a main hub. But I also wonder how cool it would be if there was a semi open map (not huge, just packed with crime stopping opportunities)where you drove your car around and stop incidents. But it seems sometimes games lose focus when they’re open. But I think there’s a middle ground somewhere where you can have a sort of expanded version of the downtown Detroit but with a very curated experience

I have seen some complaining about slow moving Robocop and bad weapon handling. Did they even watch any Robocop movie before reviewing the game? Did they expect Robocop to jump around like a rabbit in COD? Robocop is easily one of the best movie licensed games ever made.
