Wow, it seems like a lot of people don't understand this video. Debating over ridiculously small details like what shot the studio would switch to in the even their chopper feed was cut is a complete oversight of the great work that has been done here. This is a fun concept design that is presented in a unique and interesting way. It takes a lot of range of skill to be able to produce this kind of thing. Great work, keep it up, continue to have fun!

@jesperc20 As jesperc30 has said, I did this brief animation as a bit of fun, simply to showcase the robot in a non-sterile way. I'm a designer, not an animator, so showing the crowd was never an option. This is intended just as a quirky alternative to my other C.R.A.B. Robot video. PS, the tv-signal doesn't drop when the chopper is shot, otherwise you wouldn't see the 'No Signal' message or the news graphics/ticker.

Yes they could (though a computer-guidance RPG would probably have a recognisable heat-signature). The C.R.A.B.'s CPU is malfunctioning, so, for whatever reason, it is only picking up large heat signatures (ignoring smaller ones such as humans/animals, though in normal operational mode it also detects such targets). That'll teach them for using Windows OS!

@MajorKoenig156 . The robot's heat sensory CPU has failed, so it's only targeting object's it sees as 'the enemy'; namely vehicles with large heat signatures (engines) - cars in the street and.... news choppers!

Since it is moving so slowly, I guess any rioter can go around to the back quickly and attack it easily. Hence, this is the robot's biggest flaw.

Any autonomous machine capable of killing humans like that would have dedicated, isolated shut down hardware. ie: We send a signal, it's power core disconnects/shuts down

I like laser that a stun-gun/el. system that can travel through laser light that can hit the target from a long distance Theory lett as say that the robot arm spins and this will charge shock/el. so it can travel longer and reach the target?

lol, skynet, but this is fake, you can see the animation. If you look closely at it's feet as it shifts but does not lift, it moves with ease, no grinding on the brick. Plus, WHO THE FUCK WOULD BE DUMB ENOUGH, to give a police, not military, robot prototype designed to control riots, a grenade launcher?
