Haven't seen the water management system on a s7 like you have. But I have seen it in detail on a S6 MaxV that I have two of. There is nothing in that system that can have any problems with resonable amounts of mild detergents. As long as it doesn't change the viscosity to much or is aggressive towards plastic/rubber/silicon parts there is no problem what so ever. The pump in my robot is not even touching the water.

You can buy replacement tanks, I put ammonia in my s7 for over a year with no issues. I mix it in the tank and spray ammonia/water on the pad, using a new pad every night and putting used ones in the laundry

but what about the soup that the vacuum sucking in with the dirty water ? then still we put soup into the system , and as much as I know it blocking / cloging the small tube in the system

I put alcohol, fabuloso and water in a bottle and I spray the pad and my home smells nice , I use to spray on the floor but it dry up before the machine come so now I spray the solution on the pad and my home smell nice

Looking to spend under $500 for mopping 2200sqft of luxury vinyl floors with 1 low pile rug. I have no pets but mostly need for spills and crumbs in the kitchen and dining area and regular cleaning throughout. Which lidar based robot with good customer service will MOP the best in my price range? Was looking at roborock S7, s5 max and Ilife w450? Any others to consider? For ex Dreametech? TIA

Hello Steven Sadly I cant help you too much as i dont have other models you mentioned. What I can tell you about S7 and MaxV is that they are good and reliable devices at least from my experience with regular maintenance S7 MaxV with cleaning station is probably the best all around option if you have carpets and hard floors, if you dont have carpets something like Rodmi Eva is also good option

this may be a silly question but is there a difference in just using a bucket and soaking the mop than in spraying it on?

You can! I apply it like this because i diluted cleaning solution in bottle and it is easier for me to do like this

I think it is much better to spread the solution in different areas of the floor with the spray, because no matter how much you apply the cleaning solution directly to the fabric, it will inevitably be dispersed in the first few meters of navigation on the floor.

I was doing like that but sadly majority of solution dry out until robot comes to that area. Like this at least gets some additional cleaning power It is not perfect but it is better

the vacuum won't work well then if you spray the dust before the mop comes to it !!

Limitation of round robots, but i'm not bothered as it is like 1cm depth of corner, not that much

Doesn't look like your mop is on the holder properly - the Velcro strips along the arch are half exposed. You need to stretch the mop a little

That’s normal Mop shrinks after few washes :-) Also it is not good to stretch it as middle movable part won’t be to vibrate freely

Yeah, they shrink a bit over time. And i put extra care when machine washing them. 30 Degree and without drying

They all have some of theirs branded solutions. They are usually just cleaners without any additions as gloss or oils. You can always buy something like that on the market and use it. I just avoid to risk... By doing this you can use any solution you want, change scent or manufacturer without any worries ...

@@donmarkon you are absolutely right. Moreover, unless I am wrong, I think that roborock recommends to empty the tank After each use, which would mean throw away the remaining cleaning solution ...
