I can't imagine getting a guitar made for me with all the specs I want! Congrats! Schecter Guitars are so well made! I have played guitar for 20+ years and would just be happy to have a guitar and amp. Got severely sick last year and spent a month in the hospital fighting for my life and had no option but to stay at my Mom's living in her dining room on oxygen 24/7 since. I'm a huge fan! I've followed you for many years on KZbin and love your music on Spotify! Amy's song and Rain are great!

Imagine pianos had left handed options... Not gonna judge you being left handed, but I'm judging you making things complicated for the industry. Guitars were guitars, left handed people just decided to play different than traditional guitarists and we could say that is a style. But honestly there is not enough left handed players to invest and that's why companies are not taking the risk to lose money.

Pro tip to anyone wanting a thicker, more usable split tone - put a resistor between 1/4 and 1/8 the value of the pickups between ground. So about 1.5 kilo-ohm to 2.8, from what I could read on the specs.

That's how the PRS DGT does coil split as well, it's a more practical sound and you don't get as much of a volume drop when split.

@@David.S. I actually figured it out working on a PRS for a non-electronics reason! I was like "damn this sounds good split" so I took a little peek in the cavity then started playing with the options myself to work out a sweet spot. Now it's something I use on all coil splits for customers.

Id advise against going with EB skinny top heavy bottom and go with their regular slinky with the F# being a .74 (.75?). You'll get way clearer of a tone. In both clean and distorted.

Love that Robs approach to a signature is making a badass guitar for everybody rather than a perfect guitar for a small group of players. As someone who has begun looking for an 8 string and wants to use it for different styles I definitely want one right now.

So, I purchased the 8 string version of this guitar.. and Rob, you absolutely killed it! This thing is everything you wanted and everything you didn't know you needed. I have an affinity for Schecter, but your collab with them produced such a versatile and outstanding instrument that exceeded all of my expectations! This guitar has literally replaced every other one I own. If ANYONE has ANY hesitation getting one, don't. I've been playing over 10 years, and this thing... well.. It definitely fucks.

I'm so glad you brought your signature guitar over to Schecter. I'm a dedicated Schecter player, I have an Omen 7 I love more than anything, and it's nice to see such nice guitars join Schecter's line up. I've always thought that big single stripe had this cool look that made them into more like a piece of art than a typical guitar. I'm just glad to see such a great and versatile guitar under a brand I can trust. I hope I'll be able to try one soon.

I agree I did an impulse trade for a multi scale Iron Label Ibby and one day just stopped reaching for it. Having a standardized fret in good harmonic positions is so thoughtful.

Way to go Rob! I love Schecter guitars, they are extremely underrated shred machines. Watching your videos has helped inspire me to dip my toes into the extended range world and I recently found an older MIK Omen-7 for only $300. Thought the extra string might really eff me up, but I couldn’t be happier with her! Taking a look at your new sig, I see myself buying a 3rd Schecter sooner than later!🤘
