Agreed. It's a very catchy, upbeat song with a sweet bass line and horns, so Amber would like it. The video for it is also impressive. It was made to look like it was done in one long, continuous take, and although there are three very well hidden cuts in it, considering the amount of people, choreography, and action as the camera moves across and through the set, the fact they were able to do the whole thing with only three cuts is pretty amazing. There was a lot of buzz about it when it came out on MTV.

“Love Will Never Do Without You” is one of my favorite videos of Janet’s. After a battle with weight, her follow up album to Control brought out a more sexy and confident Janet. The video to “Love Will Never Do Without You” I think shows the new confidence she found in her new tone body. To me she has always been gorgeous, but the video captures it.

To me, her best AND most iconic song is That’s the Way Love Goes. It was EVERYTHING in the 90s! Slow and sexy, just like Janet. You won’t believe how different she looks then in the official music video. Also, a young Jennifer Lopez appears in the video. It’s a classic for sure.

I believe Love Will Never Do (Without You) was the biggest turning point of her career. It concluded the Rhythm Nation era with a complete overhaul transformation especially the music video directed by Herb Ritts featuring Antonio Sabato Jr. We wanted more in 1991 but we had to wait until 1993. It opened up the next chapter for the janet. evolution era and her sound, her image, the music videos, choreography became more feminine than the militant masculine hard dancing of RN 1814 videos, tour

I remember watching MTV in the late 90s, and they had a special, claiming there were “more women in music than ever before,” citing Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and other bubblegum pop girls. I just laughed. The women of the 80s brought the funk. Janet had the Minneapolis Sound for a while, which to me is far superior to New Jack Swing. More funky in an organic way. Her R&B stuff is good too. Runaway was big on Canadian music television.

Rhythm Nation 1814 is SUCH an iconic album. I also liked her mid-90s sound with songs like “That’s The Way Love Goes,” probably my favorite song of hers and “If,” which is probably my favorite video of hers-the “all dance version.” There are two videos for that song, but that one shows way more of her dance moves. You can also see in that video how artists like Britney Spears were influenced by Janet.

Actually Amber, the only times Janet and Michael danced like each other was when they were doing a dance routine together. A lot of times, people say that they danced alike but they really didn't. It is just that both of them can dance, so many people think they have the same moves. Janet does street dances that are choregraphed. Michael did unique dance moves that is choregraphed into a routine, like when he would lean forward and hunch his shoulders while walking really stiff, like he did in "You Rock My World" or in "Remember The Time" when he would throw his hands to the right while moving his body to the left, or the moonwalk. All unique, but special moves that only MJ did. Then people would copy his moves like they were actually dances, so his moves became street dances. 😍😍😃😃

Wow. This comment has exactly what wanted to discuss when I saw they were doing this video I've been having very positive things happen to be today... and this is just like the cherry on top😂 @Mitzi Person yes it was the signature dances. But I mean how come there's this silence when it comes to Janet? Look at about 4:05. Now, since I was single digit age...Ive never seen anyone do that but her!😂 I loved whenever I'd see it in other videos like "Control" obviously 😂

Definitely think you guys need to do Janet's "All for you", " Feedback", and " Make me" to get the different eras of Janet's greatness! Even more recent you have "Damn baby" and "Made for now".

Janet has so many great songs from different eras it's hard to narrow it down. Here are a few: When I think of You is another upbeat, feel good song that you will love. For something a little slower and more sultry, you should do That's the Way Love Goes. Miss you Much is also a great song and video, but make sure you get the extended version that includes the chair dance at the end. And if you want to see Michael and Janet together in the only video and song they ever did together then check out Scream.

Come Back to Me (1989) and Let's Wait Awhile (1987) are also Janet hits. They're slow jams, but beautiful and relaxing to hear.

Lol, now y'all see why Janet is a true living legend. Can't wait to see your reaction to " Again ", Amber is gonna love that one, lol, and " If ", another banger. Oh, but before all of that check out " Control " live 1987. It was a performance on a award show, and she absolutely killed it. Literally. Believe me, y'all ain't seen nothing yet, lol. Great reaction, as usual, stay blessed.

My fave Janet jam is "Control" from 1986. I was about to graduate high school and my BF had just broken up with me after we'd planned to go to prom. I ran into him at an intersection in town when I stopped for a red light. He was about to turn left in front of me. I was singing the part where she says "I'm in control ... and I love it," and when I said "I love it," I looked him dead in the face. He got all wide eyed. It was funny, and I've never forgotten it.

YESSS!!! I cannot wait to see Miss Jackson this June in concert!! I've been a fan since day one and there are so many more hits of hers to check out. "Miss You Much" - "Love Will Never Do (Without You)" - "When I Think Of You" - "What Have You Done For Me Lately" - "Alright" (with Heavy D) - "Got Til It's Gone" (with Q-Tip & Joni Mitchell) - "Again" from the movie "Poetic Justice" starring Janet and Tupac!! Her song was nominated at the Oscar's that year - and I highly suggest the movie for a FEMALE FILM FRIDAY reaction! - Love you guys - keep smiling!! 😍😍😍

Janet's music is so joyous! And dancewise, if you notice any similarities with Paula Abdul that's because before Paula was a pop sensation in her own right she was Janet's choreographer 🎉❤

In high school all the guys had the short list of the cutest & prettiest pop/rock singers; Whitney, Kylie Minogue, Janet Jackson, Belinda Carlisle & Paula Abdul were always tops. Janet had that lovely smile & & vocal tone that was quintessential 80s. She had so many catchy tunes it was hard not to like them, & I was a hard rock guy.

This song and video is such a good time! Paula Abdul choreographed many of her early videos like Nasty and What Have You Done For Me Lately and the moves on this video screams Paula to me! Yes, you have to watch Janet’s videos and most videos from the eighties, the MTV Generation…videos were very important!❤❤

🛑 LYING. She did "when i think..." + the 2 u mentioned. This absolutely does not "scream Paula", by the time escapade came out, P A was tap dancing w/ rapping cat, W/ a declining music career,. She never worked w MJ solo, if she had yall wouldn't stop talking about it. Her music has no impact, that's why yall can't talk about her choreography for those songs. Love giving credit to a yt....
