Good evening, dear friends. Since about sixteen months "Lola" lives with me. She is a Cirneco dell'ettna mongrel from Sicily. In June she will be two years old. She has almost all the typical characteristics. But she is black and for a female a little bit too big for this breed. Everything else fits perfectly to the description of a Cirneco dell'etna. These dogs are so adorable and lovable. I love Lola very much. She is an angel without wings. Love from Germany

It is very likely that these breeds have similar history and that they were just brought to different places by Phoenician traders in the past, where they developed into different breeds 👍

I am the lucky hooman of a Cirneco and an Andalucian Podenco. They are related, very similar, not to say the same. They need LOTS of exercise. And mental stimulation. Both live under the idea they are "independent", they are not, but very very nervous and shy dogs, so you need to be patient, ingenous and funny, and ALWAYS positive in the training. So to speak, its the closer you can have of a cat...in a dog. Cheers!
