Keep in mind that performance is over five years ago. He now is five years better. I've seen them in concert last year!
@debrabusch10904 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Saw them twice last year. You also. imho, don't get the sense of how good Adam is until you watch him live. Video's didn't do much for me. live was a different story. I was mesmerized.

Adam arranged Home Free's rendition of "Do You Hear What I Hear?" Lots of Adam and Tim moments. and Austin looks like he is having so much fun. I think it's shows Adam's talent at arranging. It's my all time favorite rendition of the song.
@terristeele-briones48664 жыл бұрын
YES! I was never really a fan of that song until I heard their rendition, it is AMAZING. My new favorite Christmas song.
@KillerTruffle4 жыл бұрын
To be fair, if Home Free has done a version of basically any song, that's my favorite version of that song. heh
@spideydew203 жыл бұрын
Completely agree. It's not only my all-time favorite version of that song, it's probably my all-time favorite Home Free song/video as well.

I never get tired of watching Adam perform. I've watched his videos hundreds of times and am never bored. I absolutely adore this guy and his awesome talent and skills. He's been honing his skills for 20 years and it shows and he never rests on his previous accomplishments cause he's always adding new elements to his repertoire. Someone asked him in an interview how long it took him to learn to beat box and he said "I'm still learning."

Hehe, I figured that as a drummer you'd appreciate that one. I sometimes feel that, as the only non-lead singer in HF (his choice btw) Adam's contribution to their music deserves far more recognition, he truly is the heartbeat of the group. Now you've experienced Adam, let me suggest "End of the Road " to introduce you to Rob singing lead 🎶😀

His talent is brilliant. This group is amazing but it is all due to the individual talent of each one. This band for sure stands out because of the high caliper of talent with each and every one. Adam is one of a kind. Thanks for sharing.

@bethcoussou4 жыл бұрын
Well, was that amazing, or what?! I found you because I am a fan of Home Free. You have only scratched the surface of what these guys can do! Yes, Adam is a beatboxing beast, and he has definitely gotten much better since this video was released (5 years ago). I could tell by your facial expressions that you enjoyed it. I agree with a couple of others that you should check out one of their group beatboxing (middle of the song) in a live performance of “9 to 5”.

He is so much better now. I saw them in concert recently and he had me mesmerized. He uses a looper in part of his set now so he can sing and harmonize with himself over the drumline. Absolutely awesome. There are several videos of his set from the Christmas 2022 tour. Totally worth looking at.

Thanks!! Subscribed. Always happy to follow someone who plays our Home Free guys!! Adam has even more new content, look for some other drum solos by him. Many live performances out there. We've been to six shows and never grows old and we always sit there shaking our heads during his 7-9 mins of pure incredibleness!!! And the guys on stage, well, it's like a stand-up comedy show mixed with incredible music, audience interaction and you will never forget it if you get to a show one day. Can't wait til they can be back on the road. But just watching their lives shows is something I do over and over. Super fun! Take care, be well and safe.

For Pentatonix fun, check out "Wizard of Ahhhs". It's mostly a Todrick Hall project so a lot of PTX fans have missed it. Pentatonix does 90% of the singing. Costumes, characters, Kirstie doing a devil laugh. Bleeping incredible.

New subscriber! Adam does sing (background tenor) in Blue Ain’t Your Colour, Cover Me Up, Helplessly Hoping and Quarantine, and also has a small lead in How Great Thou Art. All worth checking out plus so many others where you see his many other vocal talents.
@Cindyannef4 жыл бұрын
The one from 2019 is much better. If you get a chance to watch that you don't want to miss it. He added so much more to his tool box since then. He actually does a skit of Micheal Jackson's Billy Jean. He has the music, the dance, and the singing going all at once, plus a whole lot more. Thank you, so much. Your facial reactions said it all.

I use to sit in the first few rows and try to figure out when Adam breathed during his solo because the sounds came so fast. Finally one day I asked him, when do you breathe? He said. he makes a sound when he inhales and another when he exhales. lol

don't apologise for pausing the video. Pentaholics and Home Fries (i think, not as familiar with HF yet, though i am one) don't mind, especially since you do back up before continuing. It's better than missing something because you're talking or trying to get the thought out!

This video is the first one of his drum solos, before May 2016 (that's when Chris left). There are several Drum Solo videos from 2020-2021 and you can hear his improvement. The sound is richer because he does a lot of layering, but every sound is all him.

@MrNut19804 жыл бұрын
Like so many others before have said, he truly is a freak of nature with his beatboxing, and in the best possible way. To truly appreciate his bass drops though, you have to see them in concert. He literally shakes the seats. He even gives Tim (bass) a run for the money with them. But I agree, you need to check out the newer versions of his drum solos, he's added so many little elements that he didn't have in this one.
@stevehart87734 жыл бұрын
...and for your own life improvement, find the version of Daft Punk labled "Pentatonix Daft Punk mix private performance". Recorded on a single cam, no mikes, no sound balancing. There's even the open door to a bathroom in back. Since you've already reviewed the song, it's probably not worth another, but you should see it live. Is acoustic acapella a thing?
