The best way for me to not rage: is to respect your opponents' skill. Know that they did better than you, and know that you must and can get better.

+PredatorAlan I am from Russia and i feel sorry for these bastards. Just want to let you know that it's just some kid's with mental problems , don't take it seriously , ever. The majority of families in Russia don't give a shit a bout a proper upbringing of their kids , and that's what happens , as a result. Lack of education , not even specific but in general , is the case too. So , they are poor bastards , that was fucked up from their childhood and grew up in an environment full of conflict. Feel sorry for them and don't react , that's only choice you have. You cant even imagine how easier would be your life if you stop reacting at all. At the end of the day it's only speech and nothing else . Well , there is even a reason to learn russian a little bit to be able to defend yourself if you really want it =)

I think as well just accepting your mistakes is important too. Like in one of your previous videos, just do your best and if it didn't work out, that's okay, try and look at what you did wrong and try to do better next time. Awesome pointers! I'm still training myself not to get upset whenever I get killed in matches. It may take time. But I actually start playing worse when I try to be all zen-like in matches. Think of it like an NFL football game. What do they do before they play the game? They pump each other up, they don't meditate and go through slow breathing exercises. Same goes for me and my team. I tried going zen for a few days and I was playing worse (10-39, 3-22, 11-25, literally I was playing very poorly). It's as if the only way I can actually play 'well' is if I'm rather angry and alert. When my heart rate and mood is more tense, I actually aim better. I'll keep trying I guess.
@RocketJumpNinja8 жыл бұрын
+VESPA5 Yeah I've had that before, where it takes some rage to actually wake myself up and play properly. I wonder if some quick physical exercise before playing would have the same effect... both would get the blood pumping and mind alert, so do we actually need the emotion along with it?

That very last sentiment is why I don't want to play games anymore. I get so worked up trying to win and I feel like I'm letting myself and my friends down when I can't help us win. Raging makes me feel shitty and raging at (or even near) my friends makes me feel extra shitty. I think it's better if I don't play with my friends anymore, which means I just don't play anymore.

I quit competitive modes for say Overwatch because I just got stuck in feeling bad whenever I lost, and winning didn't stick with me the same way. Playing just casually, not really giving a shit, has improved my fun in games so much. I am less stressed when gaming, andj ust generally have a much better time. I stopped caring about performance, and started focussing on fun. Is a game not fun to me, I stop playing and look for something else, it's that simple. It has gotten me to play more fresh titles that I enjoy a lot more aswell, expanding the types of games I play.

I used to rage so bad when I was in Highschool that my older brother would then rage at me for keeping him up when he had to work the next day. Now that I'm 26 it takes quite a lot to get me to get loud and irate and a video game is definitely not going to be one of things to do that.

I'll use an example. Rank 60 EU overwatch players, majority of them use no mics to communicate and generally don't care about team compositions. You would have to be a saint not to rage at that level of ineptitude. Is it your fault that you get angry because its a team game and the chance of success is drastically decreased when they don't care about this. The answer is no. The fault lies with them and blizzard. I agree with this video in the framework of any online competitive game were a single player can consistently make a difference to the outcome of a match but it isn't universally applicable. In this scenario, yes generally its best to stay calm and try to carry. But in games like overwatch where 80% of the player base is spread out over 20 ranks and you get players that either have poor knowledge or just don't care its near impossible to maintain a zen attitude. They ruin the experience for everyone. And I'm not talking about next level strats or anything like that, just simple game knowledge. Similar issue in games like counter strike where bad voice comms drastically reduces the chance of winning the round. Players that just don't care deserve to be raged at and never let anyone tell you otherwise because if they don't care they have no place in a competitive scene. Modern day outrage culture at justifiable rage is so depressing.

Just a game?doesnt matter in real life?LOL NO! we spending so much time to this shit so that makes it realy important part of life and if we losing we rage cause it makes all the time you spend for it useless(not including the skills).Its like building an empire(in real life) and then the barbarians ruined it and not just conquer but ruined and burn the ground where empire was so all the things you do and all the time you spend to building an empire now means nothing cause now you have nothing you loose your empire all you have after it is a skill "How to build an empire".But hey did you realy want to spend another 5-30 years to build another empire when its so unstable and can be ruined by so many things?I think no cause hey you try,you make it,and then you loose it.SO dont spend your time to unstable things beter spend it to something effective like science caue if you open smth new in sicence the people will use it for a while time.Its all play a games have fun ;)
@CodNeverEnds7 жыл бұрын
I mean I get the "have fun mentality" but you can't just fuck around in a competitive cs match and when you lose the game for your team say "it's just about fun" because in some scenarios it isn't just about fun.
@hashashin72867 жыл бұрын
You state theories as statements, can you back up any claims regarding far fetched ancestry DNA lingering claims. I believe its not the DNA but more so the EGO how players can view themselves as the best for stomping newbs but then they meet their match or get challenged and their ego takes a hit they then go into a state of denial instead of rising to the challenge and lose focus this leads to the rage and accusations a lot of times. Relaa ex BF pro talked about this in depth regarding pubstomping. I enjoy your videos and have always recommended them for your insight on mice setups etc but these claims are beyond your scope of production without context.
