I'm more of a winter person so anything above 65 is hot! Currently 96 in South Central Indiana. On the upside, the boat has air conditioning and isn't very far from home!!! Your videos are awesome!!!!!

Central Minnesota where I live hit 99 but at the same time in northern Minnesota where my mom lives just a few hours away it was only 70. Needless to say I loaded up the tractor and headed north. I couldn't believe the temp difference. Keep on tractoring!

It’s been brutal these past few weeks, but we received respite from the blistering heat yesterday and today. It’ll be back in 100 this weekend, but the two days in the 70’s and 80’s with nighttime lows in the 50’s was greatly appreciated.

May not be pretty but I bet it will work! I am the same way for most things. In SE Louisiana its been 100+ most days and 112 sometimes as much as 116 heat indexes. Supposed to get a break next week. Stay hydrated out there!

@psidvicious
@psidvicious Жыл бұрын
@@RockhillfarmYT With all due respect and you should be applauded for not taking the “other comments” advice because; “Dry pouring” concrete is nothing more than an internet/YT fad. You won’t find any directions from any manufacturer of cementitious products for “dry pouring” concrete. More importantly you’ll never find an engineer recommending concrete be dry poured for anything. Agitation of the Portland cement with the other ingredients, is what kicks-off the hydration process in the concrete mix and is integral to achieving any kind of strength or consistency.

Mid Missouri here. Sunday was 101° with a heat index of 133°, according to the NWS. 96° to 98° every day since, through tomorrow, then it should start to cool down. So, a typical Missouri Summer.

My hole digging arsenal consists of a 3 point post digger that I use whenever I can but it struggles to get 28-30 inches deep witch is where I like my pots at. So I use a flower bulb auger on a hammer drill to loosen the bottom of the hole and I clean out the hole with post hole diggers (double shovel). The auger on a drill is much easier for loosening the dirt in bottom of the hole than slamming the post diggers down in the hole.

Good morning Brock. I'm paying close attention to this build because I will be starting a lean-to on the back of my woodshed here in the next week or two. But my Wife's cousin's husband volunteered to dig the 3 post holes for me by hand. I guess he figured that I'm too old to do it myself. 😁 Anyway I think that I'm just going to pour some dry concrete mix in the hole, level it, set the posts and level them, then go from there. I also thought about using my backhoe to dig the holes but decided against it for the same reason you did. I'll be watching with interest so have fun, God bless and have a wonderful day. 👍👍🙂

Technically the cardboard Sonotubes should be stripped after the concrete is set up, not buried. It’s really not that hard to do on short little ‘piles’ like that and they only need minimal bracing and reinforcing, at that size.
