Well, Just color you Pink ! I'm surprised you didn't dance your way home. lol This ones color is just different enough, to make it stand out, an its in great condition ! Your going to need a frame just for all those lancets, scrapers, knives, etc. You kid Squirrel Man & Dog Bubbie about rolling in the dirt, bet their thinking " Who's dirty now ? Great work!!! Awesome digging!!! They would never be found by natural erosion lost forever, millions buried along that river!!! I have to say it and I’m sorry because they look fantastic!!! But I have say this delicately and you know I’m one of your biggest fans!! I have been a printer, ink mixer, color expert , photographer all my life.. The gray felt is not doing those points the justice they deserve.. They don’t jump out on the video they just don’t.. As much as I hate the classic red felt I would pop those time pieces!!!! It just would because it contrasts each color point.. I’m just saying don’t be pissed!!!!!! Keep hammering…. The best finds on KZbin I just want you to get the best credit for them brother!!!

This is an area of heavy occupation. Probably around home sites. It is a workshop site as well. With Caches of artifacts

Digging the layers and occupied strata yourself before the stuff even has a chance to come out, thats where the best and highest quality of preservation occurs. The sand its in just preserves everything as well as any environment in the country. Dry environments preservation is a whole other story but for where youre at, those sand layers and occupied layers are where the finest quality stuff gets found for sure.

Yea. Only bad thing man. There are 100 places just as good eroding and being washed into the river. The State of West Virginia needs to step up to the plate and throw some grant money into River Archaeology. They could have some of the best Museums in the UNITED STATES. I have not even gone back to that place that big celt was laying out. I bet stuff has just washed away into oblivion on that place. Been like 2 months since Ive been there. I found a like 1860 glass dump on the river too....just washing away. I dont even have time to dig it. I am going to try and go to that when it cools down.

@rockscousteau same here in middle TN. There's more sites than they could ever fully excavate or investigate at all, and no archeology whatsoever. "Salvage" archeology is all that's done and that only happens one time after major floods. Archeology and the state of affairs it's in is a joke. There's no money involved and no money to fund such activities and even when there is, they're full of themselves and ego driven 90% of the time. As amateurs we know more than 75% of people that claim they are "archeologists".

@rockscousteau the stuff that comes off the river in middle TN is world class same as where you're at. Best quality materials and some of the finest examples of any regional types that exist. I feel lucky to live where I do. I don't hunt for artifacts to find thick chunky crude rough pooters lol I like finding the best quality early archaic stuff, that's my main focus. We've got Cumberland clovis quad beaver lake.etc here, lot.of paleo component sites but 100 fold more early archaic sites. That's the stuff that drives me
