I would say there was a taste of it in those skits. I still remember the "last day of GTA Online" (don't remember the actual name but it was about that) short video and it was really emotional. Yeah as a european i can't wrap my mind around us logic, so shooting a gun is perfectly legal from 12 under supervision, getting your drivers license at 15 is also okay, buying guns at 18 is okay, joining the military is also okay at 18, drinking and smoking cannot happen before 21, you can watch movies with gore and sex scenes which is totally fine, you can play a pixelated game killing people and shooting them at 17 but oh no if you want to kiss your in game girlfriend that has 5 pixels as a face it's a national security issue and must not be allowed at any given time if you do you go to jail. 😂 also the lawsuit of that grandmother, she already broke the rules by buying a 17+ game for a 14 year old and still has grounds to sue for 5 million? Understood if she got a refund but oh no that's america, we usually have laws of common sense if you try something like that the judge will laugh at you and ask you if you're sane and why you can't seem to think normally and recognize you also have some responsibility

That's US for you. But then, you have to understand, there is a massive water gap between our land of logic and american logic, so it's like a different world. Imperial measurement, despite being against imperialism and english history (imperial measurement was, is and probably will be used by british country and their former colonies; and well, US was former british colony); guns are allowed because citizens have right for self-defense (although Europe doesn't have legal guns and somehow our continent is safest in the world; you can ask Google); questionable age restrictions; confusing driving laws and intersections (look that up on some YT channels); MASSIVE amount of obese people due to MASSIVE amount of Fast Food Restaurants. America is weird, man.

At this stage of life you already know what is sex and how people are getting born. So having that kind of entertainment should have not been an issue. That's part of our life. I understand if the game was meant for younger audience, but whole drama just bcs game had sex, but had rating for mature and adult audience sounds like looking for a hole in a whole.

The whole issue was just that SA, a 17+ game had this 18+ content. I’m a Rockstar fanboy btw they can add whatever they want and I’ll enjoy it.

Fun facts: 1) Theres 2 another hot coffee easter eggs in GTA 4. An achievement of the same name after your first invite in and one where Michell/Karen says no to sex and mentions that it would cost $20,000,000. 2) When RDR2 came out someone made a sex minigame for the saloons and when Rockstar found out they terminated it. Obviously they couldn’t allow another lawsuit.

modders making hot coffee mods from scratch and developers hiding hot coffee code are two different things, rockstar would be fine when its the modders making the mechanics themselves, r*'s problem is they kept the code in instead of removing it which is how they got into hot waters, lol

I have a PS2 version on an emulator that has the mini game. I don't mess with it but I found out by accident and was surprised to actually see it. I think it's stupid that they made a big fuss when it was just low polygon models moving up and down and they still lost their minds even though it was still a mature game. It should be the parents that get in trouble or who ever bought the game for a child.

This was a reminder of how the company was like before, controversial, crazy, the dollars didn't matter to do stuff like this (but they were still important)... Just like when Mortal Kombat started this whole ESRB stuff, Rockstar basically changed the view on this subject, even when US politics tried to stop it (but, even at the cost of lawsuits, employees being harassed, and all the PR drama, the game got a boost on sales because of it). Current day Rockstar only obeys Take 2. Don't go crazy, make money first.

Sam (and Dan) and Rockstar are true visionaries in the gaming industry. This is just another of the dozens and dozens of reasons why GTA San Andreas is still the best GTA to this day. He really wanted to create a second world for people to live in - you could literally do just about anything in SA, other than this one thing they were unable to get in. It will continue to be the greatest GTA until GTA 6 comes along - which will be the true fully realized evolution of the series. They are taking a full 7 years to work on it because they want to and need to - not because they had to.

I was always baffled how a liberal politician was angry about this scandal. You would have thought a conservative would be mad about this like Jack Thompson but it was Hilary Clinton. This is how I knew the change in liberal politics has occurred and liberalism wasn't the same anymore entering the age of progressive liberalism and 2015. You'd expect liberals to be ok with "free artistic expression" and was angry about this. This when a political shift occurred where liberals and conservatives changed sides where it was the conservatives finger wagging and morally scolding culture but now it was liberals doing it.
