@@MrGordie9 strangely enough Tyson was very vulnerable to an uppercut himself. First loss ko’d by a beautiful uppercut (followed by a couple of hooks) James quick Tillis caught him with a lot of uppercuts. Although Tyson was an uppercut specialist he too was easily caught with them. Look back at his fightz.

@@MrGordie9 Tyson weighed 220 and Marciano weighed 184 in this fight and never more than 190. Marciano would be a light heavyweight or super middleweight today as LHW is 168-175 and cruiser weight is 175-200. If you think Tyson would beat Marciano then you definitely know Tyson is destroying Alvarez, Bicol, Beterbiev, Usyk, Dorticos, Opetaia and all the other SMW, LHW and CRWs. So he would still be 49-0 in todays world.

Marciano cannot be compared to true heavy weights such as Foreman. He was manufactured for the heavy weight division due to the lack of competition. That's why he quit! Joe Louis is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential boxers of all time. He reigned as the world heavyweight champion from 1937 until his temporary retirement in 1949. He was victorious in 25 consecutive title defenses, a record for all weight classes. Louis had the longest single reign as champion of any boxer in history.

A closer glance at Joe Louis 8 fight winning streak which helped him become #1 ranked contender before he faced Rocky Marciano. Below is the "SIX" (6) boxers Louis beat: #1) 196 lb Cesar Brian -- Decision -- Brian had an abysmal 36% KO's. Brian's career record of 49 wins 11 losses looks okay until ya see (25) of his wins came against his fellow Argentinians who helped pad his record. #2) 191 lb Freddie Beshore -- KO -- 28-10-1 ..5' 9" Freddie had a featherfisted 24% KO's. F-LEVEL Beshore was on a 4-fight losing streak before he faced Joe. *Why would Joe even consider fightin someone who had just lost 5 out of his last 6 fights??* We all know why! #3) 187 lb Omelio Agramonte -- Decision -- I watched their entire fight and Joe's combinations were non-existent. Agramonte had a low-power 45% KOs. The announcer said Louis was supposed to fight Charles after the Savold fight but the Louis camp ducked the light heavyweight. #4) 194 lb Andy Walker -- TKO -- 17-8-7 Andy was powderpuffer with 17% KO's. His career record was 18 wins 20 losses - *F-LEVEL.* #5) 188 lb Omelio Agramonte -- Decision *AGAIN* -- *Why Twice??? What happened to much better opponents Valdez, Baker, Johnson, Pompey, Maxim, Matthews?? Where did LaStarza and Moore disappear to?? Why not Charles or Walcott again??* We all know why! #6) 190 lb Lee Savold -- KO -- Savold lost 45 fights and was KOd 12 times. Even the announcer said, "Joe Louis reflexes are but a memory." *These two should have been retired. They just pushed Louis through towards Marciano so everyone could fill their pockets with money.* #7) 197 lb Cesar Brian -- Decision *AGAIN* -- *Why Twice??? What happened to much better opponents Valdez, Baker, Johnson, Pompey, Maxim, Matthews?? Where did LaStarza and Moore disappear to?? Why not Charles or Walcott again??* We all know why! #8) 179 lb Jimmy Bivins -- Decision - 5' 9" light heavyweight Bivins had 25 losses and was KOd 5 times. He also had an abysmal 27% KO's. Talk about bum-of-the-month-club, WOW. Notice the 5 decisions. A prime 24 year old (1938) speedy combination puncher Joe Louis would have easily accumulated 8 knockouts against those powder-puffers. It was obviously a predetermined carefully hand-picked set-up. So Joe comes outta retirement and takes the worst beating of his career from a light heavyweight (Charles) then he fights 6 stiffs and becomes #1 ranked contender. Joe looked like he was wadding through mud when he fought little Rocky. *Boxing-elites, Italian-mafioso and the IRS really needed Joe to be ranked #1 inorder to get their Louis vs Marciano $$-SHOW-$$. The only loyalty the Italian-mob had was to money.* Hey they even took 50% of Marciano's earnings and all ticket sales, all in all $2 Million. $2 Million in 1955 is equivalent to $21 Million today. Norris, Carbo, Weill had complete control over little Rocky and very carefully selected his opposition. *The Louis camp negotiated a deal with the IRS under which he would come out of retirement, with all his net proceeds going to the IRS. After boxing Joe ended up in the pro wrestling circuit and they still took his money. But that gig finished when Cowboy Rocky Lee lunged onto him with both feet, his boots colliding with Louis' torso. The crash cracked three of his ribs. It left him with a cardiac contusion and officially ended his stint as a wrestler. Children used to send him one dollar in the mail. In his biography he said a child walked up and handed him a dime. When Joe was broken physically and mentally the IRS finally stopped collecting. He lived with friends until he died.*

37 year old Joe Louis had already been fightin *"17yrs"* with 68 fights, and 96 fights before 2 million soldiers during his 4 year military service before facing little Rocky. Joe's speedy reflexes and combinations were non-existent. His movement looked as if he was wadding through mud. And his 8 fight winning streak consisted of 6 predetermined featherfisted opponents. 38/39 year old cruiserweight Journeyman Joe lost throughout his entire career, beginning, middle, end. He had 49 wins 20 losses according to BoxRec. Walcott had already been fightin for *"22yrs"* with an abysmal 44% KO's before facing little Rocky. He definitely was not prime. Journeyman Joe was fightin professionally when little Rocky was only *"'SEVEN"'* years old. Walcott Lost (20) times and was KO'd (6) times. Light heavyweight Ezzard Charles had already been fightin *"15yrs"* with 95 fights before facing little Rocky. Charles had the lowest ever 42% KO's. *His best boxing years were definitely behind him as he was factually showing traces of ALS in 1951.* LH Charles Lost (25) times and was KO'd (7) times. 41 year old light heavyweight Archie Moore had already been fightin *"20yrs"* with 178 fights before facing little Rocky. Exactly 95% of his 141 TKO's came against welterweights, middleweights, light heavyweights and small cruiserweights. LH Archie was fightin professionally when little Rocky was only *"'TWELVE"'* years old. Moore Lost (23) times and was KO'd (7) times. Little cruiserweight Marciano only fought a measly *"7yrs"* before he abruptly "Quit" during his prime at only 31yrs of age becuz *he was "embarrassed of losing," that's what his younger brother Peter said.* "Quitting" so soon is not only shameful but not fair to other Heavyweights that had 15 to 20 year careers. Dozens of Heavyweights could have retired undefeated had they Quit after only *"7yrs"* *If you eliminate his secretive debut fight under the alias Rocky Mackjeanne, he actually fought "7yrs" because there was a 15 month gap between his 1st and 2nd fights. Read Mike Stanton to understand Rocky Mackjeanne vs. Les Epperson in Holyoke. Holyoke was in a circuit of gritty New England cities where ethnic rivalries played out in the boxing rings. Holyoke shoulda been named Bumville. Rocky Mackjeanne was shortened to Rocky Mack just before the fight.*

We can actually say that probably about most of the sports we know. I mean, seriously, by our actual standards, supposedly any of the champions of any sport, single or team could easily whoop the old single or teams from 50-100 years ago. So we think, but getting back to boxing, there are many factors to be considered when they win a fight: Stamina, strength, speed, ability, resources, bad decisions, corruption, etc, but mainly courage, determination and the indomitable desire to win, not just for themselves, but for the sake of boxing, and that, my friends has given the tittles to many of the champions we've seen. Totally different athletes in UFC compared to boxing. Also much more money in boxing compared to MMA so there's no rational reason the talent would go to the UFC compared to boxing if they had the talent for both sports. The mma guys don't have hands at all in 99% of the cases. Have you not seen how bad they are at striking? Do you even watch boxing lol. And lastly, do you not see why he compared Marcino with Fury? To show the size difference between fighters today and in the past. Also, do you not see how bad the level of boxing in the 50s was compared to now? Boxing has improved, so so much since then. @@GOF313 . Those same racists don't say anything about Muhammad Ali beating Sonny Liston in 1964. Liston was 32 and Ali was 22. Or Floyd Mayweather beating Conor McGregor. Mayweather was 40 and McGregor was 29. McGregor had limited boxing skills like Marciano. Mayweather wasn't getting called old. It's not always the about the age of the boxer, but rather the wear and tear has on them. Bernard Hopkins was fighting till his mid 40's. Manny Pacquaio is coming back to boxing in his mid 40's. So Marciano didn't get an easy win because Joe Louis was in his late 30's. Louis was the odds on favorite at the time and could have possibly won, if he didn't let Marciano back him to the ropes, Marciano's favorite tactic. Another thing, Marciano and Muhammad Ali met for a film based on a computer analysis on which boxing legends from the past and the current time would win. Marciano and Ali did some light sparring with pulled punches for the film. It later turned to real sparring when Ali played around with Marciano's toupee (purposely bopping Marciano on the head so his toupee would jump). It pissed Marciano and he started tagged Ali with real punches, and Ali responded with real punches too. Marciano managed to floor Ali. Marciano was 45 years old at the time, and Ali was 27 years old. Ali said that Marciano hit harder then Joe Frazier. Ali said that his arms were sore for several days. Ali said Marciano hit so hard, it jarred his kinfolk in Africa. Rumor is that Ali asked the film's producers, for more money because Marciano supposedly broke his ribs. So Marciano definitely deserves his respects.

Rocky has Tyson clearly beat in will, fortitude and heart. Tyson was a phenom while Rocky was an over achiever who perhaps even counted on being under estimated. The Joe Louis that Rocky Marciano fought wasn't even a shell of the Joe Louis of his glory days. If that Joe Louis, and yes its speculation, would most likely have defeated Marciano in my opinion.

Rocky was so strong. He hit a special heavy bag that weighed 800 lbs. He was special. Better than everyone else for sure. That's not all. Everyday he ran 30 miles and did 6000 sit-ups. He was head and shoulders above everyone else. My god he was special. One in a billion. Did i mention he was special.

You did say it many times. Yes he was very special . Did win/hold as a world champion for 14 years in a row though? Joe did . He faced many special fighters through his prime. Joe is the only one above Ali. Not sure maybe Ali could have dethroned him, once . Maybe once .

😅😂😭🤣 I need what u smoking! Marciano was the Tyson of his era, Ali confirmed that statement! That's funny, u should be comedian 😂 Tyson is the GOAT followed by Ali and Marciano. All 3 n their primes and Tyson would have knocked out Marciano in about 3rd round and maybe went 12 rounds with Ali then the great TKO HOOK and Ali would have went blind way earlier had Tyson n Ali fought n their primes. But hey, thanks for the laugh and I do respect your opinion, bc we'll never get to know cuzz.
