I was about 16 and this tune fascinated me. I would do the voice box by singing into a fan. That bouncing, moving synth was too cool. You did such a great lesson 12 foot. Thank you, Tucson, AZ.

One of the best songs ever written (in my opinion). I grew up listening to this song from a very young age. I am 24 and don’t understand how people listen to today’s music with how great it used to be.Joe Walsh is amazing, and so one of a kind. Great video sir

I'm still learning the slide technique and it's not easy getting a honed sound like you're doing with single notes. I'm slowly getting a feel for the necessary muting of the other strings with both left and right hands. Another important factor as you pointed out is getting directly over a fret with the slide. When playing slide guitar the slide becomes the fret. Thanks for the great lesson and how to play. Rocky Mountain Way!

I grew up watching my two uncles struggling with their [2]seperate bands. To tell a tale of a kid asking billions of questions_ I admit that a lot of music lessons learned by ear got me here! Thanks 12 foot chain for expanding some of that knowledge. And, I hope to tune in on the next lesson_|3ones=BONES

Great job, as this was my first song I learned in 1975 from my cousin. Love the story of Kim Mitchel and Joe driving around LA is Joe's Volkswagon. Kim said he was a mad man back in the day 🍺♫♪♫♪♫♪

1st time seeing one of your videos. You are an excellent teacher and seem to have a lot of fun doing it. That makes a difference. When my friends mentioned Joe Walsh I said yes immediately hoping I could find someone like you on KZbin that could teach me. So glad your video popped up. I look forward to watching your other videos in the future! Thanks for a great lesson!

Will do! I think I finally got it. I used your video for a couple of places I got stuck but figured most of it out on my own. Once you get a couple of patterns down it’s fairly intuitive. I think hardest part was the talk box solo. So simple but as you said, the notes aren’t in the right places. This is only my 2nd go at a slide song, so your video was incredibly helpful. Thanks again!

As usual Another awesome Joe Walsh lesson ! I have one hint He plays a second guitar in standard tuning for the talk box stuff ~ Seen it a million times Even if he doesn’t have a tech he’ll have a second guitar over his shoulder I appreciate your great work and Merry Christmas !!

Now I'm going to have this song stuck in my head for another couple of decades! Thanks, man. JW is the GOAT! It figures. Just like Keith Richards, I had troubles figuring out proper fingerings because the @#$&! use alternate tunings . Sounds like you nailed it. Gotta try this.

Bass player here and the band I was in when this came out covered it. Great lesson! The one thing I remember years ago was a pinch maybe with one of the slide solos. Is that even possible? I remember our lead player being faithful to the record and I really remember a squeak or pinch harmonic somewhere. It was a long time ago.....

The priestcraft was set up in early history to control individual freedom thru fear. And much of those be'LIE'fs still linger today. Its much like superstition ...its just mind games. You can either defeat yourself or enhance yourself with your own beliefs. In my youth i challenged this, and deliberately walked accross paths of black cats, broke mirrors, walked under ladders (the last one is just common sense, not superstition)... and i live a beautiful and happy life, full of goodness, and always look at the half full glass. You can take your own mind power back from these false beliefs at any time you choose ✌️🎸
