Bohemian Rapsody as a film is a 7 over 10, but as a Queen fan, not like those who only know Radio Ga Ga and A kind of Magic, the film is a bit of noncense, the jumping the songs backwards and forwards not following the real order.

I think they could have put like more cameos of like the irl band members (obviously Freddie wouldn't nmbe there for obvious) and they also could have had a david bowie actor and do a under pressure scene but besides that 13/12 stars

Wow, I thought I was getting two videos in the same day, but since I usually watch them twice it’s no matter. I will reiterate my prior comments, your analysis was on point and very well stated. I would have liked to have seen a clip or two with the music producer and the band in the studio. Even without that, the movie was still amazing.

I think David bowie was mentioned in the movie at the beginning at live Aid the photographers were yelling "David look over here" or something like that and i think they meant it was David bowie and Elton john was mentioned in the movie to when Friddie was saying something about EMI i think. Ya i just wanted to say that😁

There’s an interview here on KZbin where Peter Freestone says he was in the film, in the way that he gave majority of the tiny physical details that made it to the film. Such as the exact objects that Freddie owned etc.

I think David Minns should have been in the film, after all he was Freddie's first boyfriend... I also think Bill Reid could have been in the film as a secondary villian. It would have made Freddie vulnerable and would have pushed Freddie deeper in to the dark abyss of clubbing.😭

Yesterday I gave my opinion on who I thought was missing from the movie. Today I would just like to mention a scene that I wish was in the movie. When you watch the real footage you see exactly how Queen was introduced in reality. That would have been nice to see.

As great as it would have been to see everyone you mentioned in the film, it would have resulted in a much longer movie. I believe I saw a commercial on TV for a new Elton John biopic. I wonder. Is Freddie represented in that film? If I were in charge of the film industry, I would have had a scene filmed with Elton and Freddie from two different perspectives. One to be used in "Bohemian Rhapsody," and the other in the Elton John biopic. They would not conflict with each other though, but would've been shot from different camera viewpoints. For example, for "Bohemian Rhapsody" Freddie would be the main focus of the scene, but Elton present. In Elton's film he'd have been the main focus of the scene, with Freddie present. Peter Freestone has said he didn't want to be a character in the film. He apparently was consulted a lot to get details right for wardrobe and set dressing, but he felt that his presence on screen would be a distraction. Peter Straker is an amazing character, and would be awesome on screen. But again, probably a distraction. Ditto Barbara Valentin. They could have had David Minns, because his relationship with Freddie was the real reason Freddie came out to Mary. But yes, they would have had to show Freddie cheating on Mary. Also, that might have interfered with their story that Love of my Life was written for Mary (when it was probably written for David). My beef with the movie is that it portrayed Freddie as quite pathetic, and I do think it looked homophobic. Like he was always pining after Mary, and regretted his homosexuality. Also, the onscreen Freddie was not as humourous or enchanting as the real Freddie. Probably hard to emulate Freddie's real charisma, but they could have made him more funny, and he almost never had a twinkle in his eye! Whereas the real Freddie often had a naughty little sparkle about him. I like the movie for bringing Freddie and Queen music to so many people. But I just hope that people don't stop there and find the real Freddie for themselves.

Judging by how bad the movie was I’m not surprised they didn’t mention Bowie or MJ...That could also be the estates of those two gentlemen not wanting their likeness in the movie
