Many thanks for this nice simple tutorial. Ive sung it at karaoke a few times but now putting a busking set together so this is a must-have.! Thumb on the 3rd fret for the G works well too.

Henry is actually another song on the record prior to Maggie May, this intro here was what I was having trouble learning but now it's clear until the quick changes to start the song.

Thank you so much.Ive been playing the cowboy chords but this sounds so much better..

Very resourceful. You've represented all the nuance of the intro with one guitar. Another song that's intrigued me is Jimi Hendrix along the watchtower where him and Dave mason play acoustics

Jerry, do you also teach the classical iconic Intro?
@benlivingstone49264 жыл бұрын
this isn't the intro, this is the song itself, there's a medieval intro bit
@helethead3 жыл бұрын
That’s a separate song.

@@helethead no it's not its the intro of Maggie May ? if its a different song then what song is it ? absolutely useless reply
@helethead3 жыл бұрын
@@benlivingstone4926Yes it’s used as an intro, it’s called “Henry”. Btw, you can look this up yourself on this thing called “The Internet”. What are you, 2 yrs old?

Great lesson, just wish there was a tutorial featuring the awesomely beautiful ,slightly medieval pattern which precedes this masterpiece, possibly the album version. Can't find a single tutor addressing this online .It would be a wonderful taster in a campfire scenario l reck.
