Having just ordered the Rodecaster Pro 2, which I am hoping might just have a preset for the Shure MV7 as it does for the SMB7, I happened to fall upon your Video. The great thing is, I now have all the information I need to set the MV7 up regardless of the fact it is an updated unit and whether or not it has a preset, so thanks for the great Video and information!

did you end up getting a cloudlifter for the mv7 and the pro2? To get where i want it too be with my voice i need 55db, which introduces a bit of noise =O
@paulg3388 Жыл бұрын
@@Iwtfgege I didn’t get a Cloudlifter and actually just used the SM7B since received. I haven’t had the chance to go back to the MV7 and thinking of selling it, as I thought the USB connectivity would be used more than I have !

@@kettnercreative I got the Rodecaster Pro, and used an XLR cable to plug my Shure MV7 into it. Problem: But in Far mode, the volume level keeps raising and lowering/ fading in and out rhythmically. On the RodeCaster Pro, if I select the type of microphone as “condenser”, it’s just too quiet. If I select the type of mic as a “dynamic” mic, its loud enough, but the volume still goes up and down on its own in waves. If I use it in Near mode, it’s fine, but I bought the mic to use it in Far mode. I don’t know if this is a problem on the Rodecaster Pro side, or the Shure MV7 Far side. Can you help?

I need some brighter keylights for my church. I am debating if I should get the Rogue R2X RGBW or the R2X VW. WE film our services and I am concerned that the CRI will be terrible on the RGBW. But it would be wonderful to have the extra flexibity of all the colors from the RGBW.

@@kettnercreative changed my mind and went for this setup (Rc2+MV7) I am looking for a tutorial for the advanced audio settings like compressor, de-esser... to get rid of some side-effects due to room-setup, etc. So I am looking forward to a finetuning session (suggestion) ;)

Big fan of your videos.. will you be able to have these combos as a video.. shure sm7b, stealth mic booster and audient evo 4. Im having issues with background noises with this set up.. im not sure what’s the cause..

We don't have a video like that planned, but my guess is that your gain is turned up too high and that your microphone is too far away from you.

@KettnerCreative I know this is not the right video but its the most recent, Anyways I'm buying DT 990 Pro 250 ohms and I'm wondering if I can get good sound quality and volume if I plugged it straight into my pc, if not can you let me know the best budget AMP for this headset? I'm using it for gaming and I'm wondering what I can do! Thanks!

Hello, this isn't related to this exact video at all. However, I recently got a Scarlett Solo interface with a Rode NT1A condenser microphone. Whenever I turn my pc off, I usually leave phantom power on, and when I restart my PC or turn it on after shutting it down night before, my gain indicator flashes yellow to occasionally red as if it's clipping. Should I turn phantom power off before shutting down or restarting my pc, and turn it on again after my PC has fully booted up? I couldn't find any answers relating my question on the internet so I am just asking out of safety reasons. Thanks in advance.

I don't like it when that happens, but there's nothing wrong with the equipment. Its actually very common. If you have ever experienced a popping noise coming out of your speakers when you power up, or shut down a stereo system with separate components, that's all it is. The fix is to turn the components in your system on and off in a certain order so you don't hear the pop. For example, if you hear a pop with you turn your amp on, you need to turn the amp on first, and then your preamp and sources. The underlying cause the pop is still there, but you don't hear it. What you are seeing on your gain indicator is that pop. in general, most equipment doesn't have a gain level meter like yours, so you have no idea its occurring. Its just that the lights on your meter are drawing your attention to something you normally wouldn't see.
