Clemens is such a jerk lmao. Defends everything he does even 20 + years later... Most guys just sort of laugh things off afterwards, he still holds onto it... Doesn't really answer any question honestly, you can see him searching for the right answer...

Clemens was intimidating. He fed on that. That was his style. Who knows if he meant to nail Piazza, but it sure looked like it a couple of times. Seemed like roid rage. Of course he would down play it in this conversation. "I would have hit him with the bat if I meant to." You certainly hit him with the ball a couple times, looked like you meant to, doesn't seem like you would deny that then say I would have nailed him with a broken bat if I wanted.

OK lets not bullshit. Clemons was a great pitcher as his career shows, he owned the plate. Take a look at Mikes eyes and concentration, Mike now owned the plate therefore owned Clemons. Great pitchers have a hard time with this I.E. Nolan Ryan. so, they act out. Mike was always above intimidation, he kept his head down, and with his bat speed and strength in his arms just tattooed Clemons like no-one ever had. I really loved baseball at that time and to see the Rocket get dominated is what it was all about. Great players make great things happen

He intentionally beaned the shit out of mike and if they would have stood back and let them go i have a feeling Piazza would have gotten the upper hand lol
