Roger Daltrey is the nicest, most fundamentally decent person you could ever hope to meet or work with. I worked with him once when he was working as an actor and as it happened our location was a music shop. Between takes as we were setting up Roger picked up a guitar and entertained the younger actors with "The Kids Are Alright." They didn't know what they were listening to but I wept tears of joy.

Daltrey seems like a warm, kind, bloke who wanted to help his friend. Daltrey has a sense of life and wicked gallows sense of humor. Wilko is lucky to have Daltrey and lucky to a surgeon fan who finally diagnosed him correctly.

British band legends both A calling from God to work with Wilko before passing. Reference to Mick Green who was asked to join Elvis Presley's band but Mick's manager never told him about the suggestion so Elvis never happened. See Mick in action in Jonny and the Pirates this playing style influences Wilko who could never copy Mick but developed his own wonderful style.

Certainly the most dedicated to his work as frontman, vocalist, and giving everything he’s got the minute he picks up a mic. Saw him last week perform Tommy with Nashville Symphony in blistering heat soaked in sweat and did it as if it were 65 degrees and energy to spare & plenty of it. Yeah in my book the most hard working and least pretentious. A working mans hero.
