Roger Moore was a very affable person his favourite film was “The Man who Haunted Himself” circa 1970. Roger also had a very strong and loving relationship with his own Daughter who I can well imagine was devastated on his passing. He seemed to be very good humoured and always made time for his fans.

That was my favourite film too, he was my childhood hero, and ended up loving everything he did, he was the only famous person I wanted to meet before either of us left this place, only just noticed that he died on the day of my 60th birthday 😞

@@wildnfrantic1015 I never met Roger Moore but he seemed very down to earth and had a friendly demeanour so it would have been nice if I had by chance bumped into him somewhere but sadly it was not to be. I have to say though that my favourite Bond remains Sean Connery but I suspect he would have been no where as affable as Roger Moore in person.

Great video tonight Paul, very sad to learn of Christina Knudsen, Sir Roger Moore’s step daughter, a beautiful lady, sadly taken far too young. Sir Roger was a talented actor and certainly had great presence, with a very long and distinguished career. A good Bond, also some really good movies: The Man Who Haunted Himself, Shout at the Devil and a favourite of mine. The Wild Geese 1978. He received his knighthood for Humanitarian work, also conscripted for National Service, he was commissioned in the Royal Army Service Corp and later served as a Captain in Combined Services Entertainment. Very nice to see the grave stone with both names, they may rest in different places, but together in heaven. May they both R.I.P 🙏

Growing up as a young kid, Roger Moore lived a quarter of a mile from us, at 58 Gordon Avenue in Stanmore, before he moved to Denham, so he could be nearer to Pinewood Studios. I have a b+w photo of my 3 brothers with him on his drive, standing next to the white Volvo car, that was used in The Saint programme, that he actually used to drive to and from Elstree studios. (Shame I cannot post it on here?) Thanks for yet another great video 👍

Hi Paul, I have a French wife and she will confirm your comments about the UK countryside - it is pretty much unmatched and you can only appreciate the dominating proportion of this small island that is beautifully green with rolling hills when viewed from the air - flying back from holidays etc, it is so welcoming (when not covered by clouds!). Regarding the suggestion for sponsoring a foreign trip - I would be more than happy to take you on a trip to France and show you the graves of famous people, including Van Gogh and John McCrae, the poet who wrote "In Flanders Field"- the inspiration for the poppy icon associated with remembrance day. If at all interested, let me know.

Paul I’m glad you did this tribute to Roger More it’s so sad that he a very English man as English as tea is buried abroad and not in his homeland. I lived in Stockwell and my daughter shared the same birthday as Rogers step daughter Helena it’s funny how coincidental that is. Roger More after Sean Connery was another favourite bond. But Connery has the edge being the original bond that started it all off. But you can’t take it away from Roger he took on and made the role his own. Maybe a little bit of Simon Templar in there as well. But defiantly with debonair and panache. RIP Roger More one of the greats.
