I once heard Robert Drysdale say "when Roger mounts you, it's like a volkswagon being parked on your chest". He is my favorite because he moves are very fundamental, but perfected. He doesn't do berimbolo, 50/50 any situation specific moves. He just does the moves that white belts are taught, he just does them better than Black belts.

My Professor told me some stories of how Roger would come in to some team trainings and you never new if he was gonna murder everyone or work from bad positions then murder everyone🤙

Roger is going 20 percent at most. The other dude is giving it all he’s got. Make no mistake about that.

My Professor is a black belt under Rodger and has told us all some great stories. From watching him in seminars and videos, I always tried to work out why he’s the GOAT and I think it’s because he does the fundamentals of Jiu-Jitsu perfectly both offensive and defensive.

Wow, that dude did really well against Roger. Just making a legend like that work a bit is a victory in its own right.

@@cosmicremnant2902 if you really knew Roger Gracie you should know that if he wants to submits everyone in the gym in less than 1 minute for opponent you wouldnt talking that shit...

@@ancestraljns1747 I do Bjj for quite a while and I know how it is. They go soft on you for sure, but they also don't let you submit them. The guy is quite strong and knows his Bjj too. Not the easiest roll for Roger.....Again he is no god and his competition times are over too. Still Roger is a beast. Don't worry...He will stay being your hero :)

Massa a passagem no início do vídeo!!
@pedroivo26744 жыл бұрын
Verdade.

Most of - if not all- of the "Sparrings" with any member of the gracie family are actually an attempt to beat a legend by giving everything they've got because their dream is to beat a legend and go around and say "I beat him and then hopefully become famous.
