Thank you for sharing all the events. It was great to watch them. There is certainly room to make this more of a spectacle, but the strength and determination shown by the athletes was incredible. 8/9 shows for Hooper. What an incredible year that only he could beat in my opinion.

Big win for Hooper but also a big comeback for Hafthor with the pressing medley. Best pressing showing for him since his year. Glad to see him starting to heat back up on the upper body stuff.

Fantastic show. Thor is nearly back to full strength. Both Tom and Luke doing phenomenally. Evan really pushing and looking more like a well honed strongman rather than just some crazed power machine. Mitch of course being very good at everything. Congrats to him.

Thor did great but his pressing definitely isn't "nearly back" mate. Small improvements but at his peak he was a monster presser. Peak Thor would've finished this medley.

To everyone complaining about the KB: This is not the best way to rack them. Using a proper front rack position also enables you to grip differently and making the press extremly stable. The implement was not the problem.

As they said, Mitch doesnt generally win alot of the events but one thing he does consistently is be in top 3 which allows him to win the overall most times.... Sound very familiar to another Big Guy 4x WSM Brian Shaw... Brian was always consistent in Top 3... Preetty good company to be within. Good Job Hooper... Great showing for Thor proving he is going to be a force to deal with.

Great event rogue. So Mitch got a lot of flack for split jerking his axel's earlier in the year and some people were even discrediting his overhead strength. I think this is pretty telling on how good his overhead press is regardless of how he decides to press the weight.

The kettlebell isn't that bad. It was just uncommon for them despite being standard gym equipment. But most of them figured it out or powered through like strongmen used to back in the day when they were using far more uncommon objects.

LOL Big men who are 2 meters tall and weigh 150-200 kilos cannot lift 170-180 kilos. Naim Süleymanoğlu, the greatest TURKISH weightlifter in history, weighed only 59 kilos (130 lbs) and lifted 190 kilos (418 lbs) , more than 3 times his own weight. Yes, you heard that right. He was a little GIANT man weighing only 59 kilos.
@sammorrissey909411 күн бұрын
Not in a strict press and not on an axle. How little do you know about the sport? Absolutely shameful
@bmstylee11 күн бұрын
Yes but weightlifting on a whippy 28mm bar is a lot different than a 50mm axle that has zero whip. Lasha who is arguably the strongest of all time would probably struggle with those axles. Add in this was after multiple extremely heavy events and those were impressive lifts. Naim was impressive no doubt but he ain't moving those. This was also the second pressing event. Let's see Naim press that log. Most weightlifters would be flattened by these implements.
