Please ignore the idiots on here. Your videos are very good. I don’t understand why people watch reviews and seem to be looking for small mistakes that anyone could make. You go to a lot of trouble to record these informative videos and it is appreciated. I particularly like the fact that you are interested in watches period, no matter what the cost. I have various watches from Rolex to cheap crap however they all give me pleasure to use no matter the cost.

Nice review. For a guy with a smaller wrist and an iconic everyday classy Rolex, would you recommend Explorer 36 steel over the Datejust 36 steel in blue dial if one could get either at retail? Thanks
@watchreviews4k2 жыл бұрын
Both the Datejust 36, and Explorer 36 are a good fit for a 6-7" wrist. For reference see my Datejust 36 review. Regards, #WR4K

Nice review but I wouldn't call the hiked up price 'highly justified'... its actually a slap in the face to regular customers who want these watches to wear rather than flip. Anyway - the review was still solid with some nice close-up shots. Cheers.

Great review but wristshot needed. I still think it’s too small. The 214270 is a much better size.

This is my grail. At this point I’d rather buy from grey market cause waiting for ad is torture
@watchreviews4k3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching Eugene. Yes, its better to pay a premium over retail and avoid the AD waiting list, or "expression of interest" nonsense. I bought my Oyster Perpetual 41 from a grey dealer this year rather than face a lengthy wait from an AD with no guarantee of ever being offered one. I bough the watch online, 5 days later Fedex delivered it and it was on my wrist. Worth paying over retail for the positive experience? Definitely. Regards, #WR4K

Great review as usual however I'd like to challenge your recommendation to purchase this piece for double its retail price. Could this be called sweet lemonade for champagne money? just to be consistent with your ranking. It is common knowledge now that Rolex is not capable nor willing to control its distribution, less its ADS who seem to funnel their inventory through 3rd parties or themselves, and make out with huge margins preying on willing or careless customers in wealthy markets such as Hong Kong, etc. Probably the subject of a business or trade type of video but it looks like a scam and thus should not be supported (in my view). Sure not only Rolex does it AP and Patek play the same game as well by limiting availability and jacking up prices. No serious brand sets retail prices at random they are very well analyzed in order to promote fair business across the value chain. If not what is the point of having a retail price if some customers pay whatever is asked. That's where good and friendly advise from experts comes in handy. Beware of greedy sellers.

I bought my Hulk at retail from an AD in 2018 after a 2 year wait on their list. I sold it 8 months later for 5000 Euro profit. I was on a waiting list for my Oyster Perpetual 41; but then the lockdown came and my AD was closed for a year. So I just bought one from a grey dealer at a premium over retail. So there are two sides to the grey market; one can gain profit selling over retail, and also one has to pay over retail when purchasing. Is it worth paying a premium over retail to avoid having to wait up to 2 years on a list? Yes. After waiting 2 years for my Hulk, I decided I would never do that again; and would prefer to pay a premium to have the watch shipped to me via Fedex and on my wrist 5 days after purchasing it online. I prefer buying pieces online, rather than having to visit an AD to my name down on a list and wait; with no guarantee of ever getting the piece. Regards, #WR4K

Thank you for watching. I have 144 videos on my channel; with a plethora of verbal, and visual mistakes. Unlike many other watch channels I leave mistakes in, rather than editing them out to appear flawless. I record every video in one take; pressing record on my camera and talking for circa 15-20 minutes straight. With practice this gets easier, however sometimes things like screwing a crown back down doesn't happen perfectly the first time. Often viewers think creating content looks easy; then some of them have a go at doing it themselves, and realise it isn't as easy as it looks. Some viewers don't have the ability to create content, and prefer to mock the mistakes of those that do with sarcastic comments. Regards, #WR4K
