About Cole & Charisma:
Welcome to the official Roll with Cole & Charisma KZbin channel! Since the start of our relationship we've gotten a lot of questions about our experiences as not only an interracial couple, but an interabled one as well. On this channel you can catch us doing travel and adventure vlogs, challenges, our inclusion series, couple first times, music, and so much more! We started this vlog to bring people into our lives, to answer some questions about how we navigate the world, and hopefully raise awareness surrounding accessibility and dating in a wheelchair. You'll quickly see in our episodes that we're all about inclusion and keeping a great attitude no matter your circumstances, so if that's what you're into, you're in the right place!

My daughter tried all the medicines, but they didn’t work. Botox has been the best for her. She could only hold 100 cc before. She was 16 when she became a paraplegic. So wearing briefs was embarrassing for her. Now at 20 she doesn’t have to wear them anymore. Thank you for your vlogs. Can’t wait to watch more!!!❤

I wish they were readily available in my place. Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He is 59 & has so many mental health issues plus probable CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac. He's constantly talking about killing someone. He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD know if it is common for an obsession with violence.

As an urology RN who also works with a large SCI population, this makes me so happy for you! Glad the vesicare is helping you. I guess you’ll see long term how it holds up. Obviously not knowing your hx, there is another oab medication called Myrbetriq (maybe you’ve tried it). Similar SE’s to vesicare, but highly popular among the sci community for oab. You’d need urodynamics i think to rule out issues with bladder detrusor dysfunction. Botox next best thing, but yes time consuming and many steps. In any case, great to hear! 👏

Cole and Charisma I am into my third year , at least, of urinary frequency. This was due to built- up stress in my body that I was unaware of as a cause. Sometimes we just have to go through he process of elimination to figure out which treatments are best for our systems. It can be aggravating to spend so much time indisposed, but the end is so much better than the beginning when we find the middle ground to what our bodies need. I feel you!!!! yes I do!!!

My daughter was born with bladder extrophy (bladder outside the body) and has had over 40 surgeries (minor & major) in her 43 years of life. She is scheduled in 2 weeks for a major reconstruction and diversion surgery (her bladder will no longer hold enough volume to sustain "her normal" lifestyle) and the recurrent UTIs, bladder & kidney stones she develops keeps her in constant pain . She's been on oxy for a number of years as well. With a large family history of Alzheimers (14 immediate family members), to hear it can cause dementia is horrifying. Because she's an adult, I don't research her meds like I use to but wish I had continued so she could have avoided the oxybutin all these years...I'm sure she knows however. #)(@)#!!!! Wishing you continued success in your urinary health Cole! This is great news!

Ive been paralyzed since 2000 and peed my pants everyday for the 1st year. What eventually worked for me is oxybutynin and the lowest dosage of Imipramine which is a antidepressant that has a side effect of bladder elasticity. Also, the supplement D-mannose does wonders preventing UTIs.

Yes, non disabled people think about it. When my husband takes certain meds he has to run. I always get out of his way when we return from a trip. and now that you've found an easier solution, I FEEL the joy for you! And PS game changer for him was taking the meds at night instead of in the morning. It gave him that same freedom not not have to run so fast, and the same joy in finding a simple solution.

I'm so happy that the medicine is working. I have overactive bladder and I had to see a doctor for it. I have a history of Seizures/ Epilepsy and when I was younger I would have Grand Mal seizures and I would lose control of my bladder and wake up wet in my bed. I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 7 and half months old so I have dealt with seizures/ epilepsy for a long time. I still have epilepsy but not as bad. I have the pettie mal and absent seizures . When I first started taking medicine for my bladder I was 24 and I received veicare and it worked and I took that for years and I was good nothing happened. I would get checked every 6 months to make sure it was working. I was on the 10 mgs for a while then the doctor changed it to 5 mgs and it still worked. As I was being treated for overactive bladder the urologist told me that the muscle of my bladder stopped contacting and that why I was running to the bathroom so much. And I was having leakage as well. And it was because of the seizures I had had over the years. And I couldn't hold the fluid. Now I take a different medication and it's called Oxybutynin Generic for Ditropan Xl and It's working. And I totally understand about taking medicine that doesn't work I've taken seizure meds and medicine for headaches/ migraines and I always have some kind of side effects. And yes It's ridiculous that we have to go through so much to get the help that we need. I have a lot of side effects from other medications as well. Been there and done that. You have to be your own advocate to get what you want and need. You know your body better than anyone. Like I was saying that I have taken medicine for headaches / migraines and the last results was Botox and I had to take another medicine before I receive the approval from the insurance company. I totally understand the drill and game of the health care system. I have been taking Botox for 5 and half years now and it works for the migraines and I take Nertec and it helps. to prevent migraines stop them in their tracks. I take Botox every three months and I get injections in my head ,forehead my neck and shoulders. It it can hurt because my head becomes sore from the pain of migraines. And I was on Detrol for overactive bladder as well. And congratulations 🎉 on getting something that helps you and you don't have to worry like you use to. I can totally relate. It's not easy going through the things/ process to make something happen. 😊😊🎉🎉 🤗♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ Your going to have a better quality of health now.

Botox has copay assistance for insurance carrying customers. Most pharmaceutical manufacturers have a co-pay assistance program as long as you have insurance they will pay at least part of your drug co-pay if not all of your drug co-pay whether your major medical or your pharmacy. Also make sure that you’re exploring both your major medical and your pharmacy insurance because even major medical has coverage for medications. Probably an awkward place to get a message like this, but that’s what I do for a living coordinate medicine for patient based on their insurance for a specialty pharmacy so please ask any question anytime if I can help just one patient get medicine cheaper or don’t for their medication or make the process easier for them as I live for. Insurance is like the biggest scam so I love being able to advocate for patients and help them get around those insurance red tape

@mikki_s1100 my crps got really back during covid. It spread from my left upper extremity to my legs, feet, sternum, face, jaw, ribs.....worse on the left (where my original surgery was that started all this). I've literally tried everything. Chinese medicine. 13 orthopedic surgeries, over 100 injections, stellar ganglion nerve blocks, energy healing, cranio-sacral therapy, infrared sauna, cryotherapy, psychadelics, narcotics, meds of every shape and size, healing waters, years of physical therapy, cupping, dry needling, hypnotherapy, ) like EVERYTHING. The name of the clinic is The Spero Clinic in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I did ionic foot detoxes, oxygen therapy, neuromuscular re-education, cereset, MRI therapy, microcurrent, vagus nerve therapy, non invasive neuromodulation/NIN, cold lasers, lymphatic drainage) I slowly took care of the underlying infection of the epstein barr virus (which causes a lot of neurological malfunctioning) and Lyme with supplements and diet changes. Then I decreased the inflammatory response in my body with MRI, detoxes, lymphatic drainage......that got all the nasty stuff out. Then we built up my muscle and stamina with neuromuscular re-education. That was gnarly. I went from using a walker and wheelchair to jogging in 4 months. My lower extremities no longer swell to the point I can't walk. They don't get red, purple and blue. Im able to drive again, no longer use a shower chair. I still have pain, which sucks but my activity level is so much better. It's sad not everyone has access to this clinic or their treatment. If you can find someone in your area who can do lymphatic drainage, piezo (scar tissue blasting machine), NMR with the arpwave (which is a machine that stems your muscles and gets you walking again) you may can do some of these things. Believe me I searched for 20 yrs to find relief. I also am a work comp adjuster and am medically knowledge when it comes to injures, treatment and conditions like these. And it still took me 20 yrs. Honestly when every doc you see tells you there isn't anything they can do for you or 'it's in ur head " it really makes you crazy. I hope you can find some relief. My IG handle is Aragedie1 if you wanna find me. I have some of my treatment stuff on there. 🧡🧡

Insurance companies are the worst. I understand they have to make sure money is t being wasted but it feels like money has become their priority and not patient care. That’s great that it helps. Is this something that trains the bladder and you can be weaned off of it eventually?

We don’t think so. Unfortunately with Cole’s SCI, his bladder will most likely never be able to hold fluids without some kind of medication

I completely understand that I have to go potty right now feeling and I try walking to the bathroom with my legs crossed, sometimes I make it but a lot of times I don’t, and I don’t have any disabilities other than getting up there in age.
