Seriously. I can't handle working and getting treatments--granted medical PTSD makes you VERY stressed out, but still I don't consider working, with PTSD and caring for a family member as horrible as having cancer and going to school XD. I had a stem cell transplant for leukemia in 2019! It was allogenic so my brother was my donor. My hospital roommate had an autologous transplant for lymphoma. We are both around your age and doing fantastic. The preparation is definitely challenging, but hospitals nowadays have so many tools to make you more comfortable. So happy that your most recent treatment is working for you!

What an achievement, you submitted your thesis right in the middle of this, and attended an online class. You are an amazing woman. Cancer is so unfair and I wish you didn't have to go through this. You face it with such courage. Stem cells are pluripotent, which means they have the potential to develop into any type of healthy tissue cell. So any damage that the chemo has caused to your body can be repaired by these healthy stem cells.

Hi Romee, they took my stem cells too 1 month ago and I'm gonna have my intensive chemo soon ( i guess in July) I'm scared to stay so long at hospital but i have no choice. For it was horrible thing when they took my stem cells from my arm, it hurted me so much one of my worst day but no problem I'm fighting. A nurse was coming to make the injection, you're so strong by doing it by yourself, I admire you.

Romee you are AMAZING to finish your thesis during this process. I thought I would tell you that I had a stem cell transplant in December 2019 (Myeloma cancer), so do ask me any questions if you'd like to (I'm in Scotland). Like you, they had problems getting my cells on Day One, and discovered that I was neutropenic that day too, so I had to be transferred to another hospital where I became ill with a virus. But they still got my cells on Day 3, me constantly being transferred between hospitals, because the Cell Harvest lunar-like machine was in the other hospital, and they didn't hit their cell number target, just like you, in terms of cell numbers, but the transplant still took place 6 weeks later. You are doing amazingly - hang in there. I'm hanging in too!!!
