Last night I made it to the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville for what will probably be this living legend's last show. He is not well. So many artists sang tributes to him and then Ronnie took the stage for Prisoner of the Highway, Smokey Mountain Rain and of course, It was Almost Like a Song. My 10 year old loves you Ronnie. He was there. You bring me back to when my parents were young and I was a little boy in our old Chevy listening to WHN 1050 AM in NYC. We both got old, my man, but thank you for the love songs and for serenading my wife and son last night. Thank you to all of the talented artists who sang to you.
