Ronnie Milsap It Was Almost Like a Song Lyrics
Once in every life
Someone comes along
And you came to me
It was almost like a song
You were in my arms
Right where you belong
And we were so in love
It was almost like a song
January through December
We had such a perfect year
Then the flame became a dying ember
All at once you weren't here
Now my broken heart
Cries for you each night
And It's almost like a song
But it's much too sad to write
Now my broken heart
Cries for you each night
And It's almost like a song
But it's much too sad to write
It's too sad to write

Last night I made it to the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville for what will probably be this living legend's last show. He is not well. So many artists sang tributes to him and then Ronnie took the stage for Prisoner of the Highway, Smokey Mountain Rain and of course, It was Almost Like a Song. My 10 year old loves you Ronnie. He was there. You bring me back to when my parents were young and I was a little boy in our old Chevy listening to WHN 1050 AM in NYC. We both got old, my man, but thank you for the love songs and for serenading my wife and son last night. Thank you to all of the talented artists who sang to you. Finally, Gordon Mote said he was 4, and was also blind, and hearing and learning of Ronnie Milsap changed his life.
