I think the most sinister thing is that in the drawer at the end, the matchbox seen earlier is still vibrating furiously, one or two others are weakly stirring but most of them have become still. So i was thinking about this for like the last 5 hours, Dimensions are infinite both bigger than his and smaller than his, so if he picked himself up he would have to hold himself infinite amount of times altough easier with every dimension while being held with infinity of himself. infinity times no matter how little is equal to infinity. So he either couldnt pick himdelf up or if he tried jumping and then reaching in box and catching himself the mass that he held (If somehow secured so it doesnt slip out of his hand) would rip his body apart in every dimension. If somehow he could pick himself up (e.x. air molecules get denser the deeper the boxes go) he would travel up the sped of light becasu every dimension is puling itself up in praticly no time (if he could survive traveling at the speed of light) he would be in a dimension where he is smaller than the smallest molecule. And if he broke that box would every dimension turn in to the bigger one? And as i was writing this i just figured it is 5 a.m. and i have a lot of important shit today.
@dinokulic897510 жыл бұрын
RimanX It is not just picking himself up it is about picking himself 1000 times lighter than himself holding another himself 100000 times lighter than himself..... any number (n>0) times infinity is infinite because infinity is an idea rather than an actual number. Lets say his mass is X (x>0) and that trough every dimension he gets Y (Y>0) times lighter than in previous dimension to lift himself up he would have to lift up (X:Y) * Infinity = infinity because no matter by how many times you divide a number larger than 0 by a number larger than 0 it will be bigger than 0 and no matter how small the number is multiplied by infinity it equals to infinity.

Because if he breaks it -via the theory of the upper ceiling of the box- he would just open another portal from universe 'n' to universe 'n+1' as the portal limits are defined by the interior of the room.. Who is the box owner? And why did he warned the prisoner? Is he the god himself, meanwhile then he punished the prisoner for knowing too much *such a divine secret*? What would happen if the prisoner killed the box owner? Or what would happen if the prisoner was not curious enough to open the box and had contented with only reading the book? Was this book holding the truth about that box? And what about all those people in the match boxes? Will they ever be sat free? Or this is just like hell?
@tisaghose6934 Жыл бұрын
Black mirror stuff 😅 The older man just created room 8 miniature red box with his miniature version in it for prisoners. The moment you enter room 8 a miniature version of you automatically gets created inside the box. The moment you get captured you just vanishes from the real world. That’s why he said to bring in the next prisoner. The match boxes represented death. You basically don’t get another chance once you tried to escape prison committing one more criminal act.

isn't that similar to the story of Adam when God warned him beforehand that he should not eat from the tree in Eden? Doesn't it mean that human pay the bill because of his curiosity to know what's beyond? or that the man in prison or God when warning them suggests that they knew it would not be for their own good to open the box or eat from the tree since that beyond in particular will be harmful for them? if that so, man should take all the responsibility of what becomes of him, and the culprit here is his curiosity

I would have picked myself up and lifted myself out of the box.
@vigneshsivakumar82129 жыл бұрын
That would mean you're lifting every single one of you out of the infinite boxes, while being lifted out yourself! Where does it end!?
@bills15839 жыл бұрын
+Vignesh Sivakumar It's not possible. You would be infinitely heavy and unable to lift yourself. If you start to lift you pull yourself and every other self they are holding up of the ground. This combined with the fact that you have to push off the floor to lift, which you couldn't do if you are being lifted. This means infinite weight so you would rip off whatever you grabbed, be that shirt or arm.

This reminds me of an episode of Futurama. Suppress the eye-rolls and look it up... because I'm sure there was one episode involving "multiverses" which ended with Fry thoughtlessly *sitting* on a box containing his own universe, thereby FLATTENING said universe. This short was live-action though, so... yeah, way more impressive to see than Futurama was.

Damn, that was amazing. The serious tone was a great start and tempo to this crazy abnormality. The acting even though short was greatly performed, strong story. Love the mystery and horror of it. 9/10. I wonder what the hell beat this Short Film. I'm only starting to watch the 2014 Short Films for inspiration and study. Although it says Winner but then says Nominated is confusing. So, it won, right?

So what would have happened if he just picked himself out of the box?

+Bill S Oh ok that really helps. so really he would not be able to lift the smaller version at all since itself would also be holding on to another smaller version and that would repeat infinitely causing infinite weight. interesting. thanks for the reply, really fun concept to think about.
@srowhani9 жыл бұрын
+Bill S The weight would be infinitesimal. So you'd definitely be able to.
@merljj69 жыл бұрын
+MrKHall2002 Adding infinite amounts of a person does not necessarily mean infinite weight. It depends on the rate at which the weight is decreasing. For example, if you add 1 +1/2 +1/4+1/8+... infinitely, you get 2 exactly total. Obviously, the weight here in this video would be far less than half from a smaller person to a bigger one, so I'm fairly confident your total weight would converge in the pick himself up example.
@MrKHall20029 жыл бұрын
but isn't half of infinity still infinity? though it is logical to think the weight of the smaller versions is decreasing in relation to the size changes there will still be an infinite number of them too add together. after a certain point the increase in weight will seem insignificant but that doesn't mean weight is not being added. (going by the half life example, 1 + 0.5 + 0.25 etc, etc, + 0.001953125 + 0.000976525 + etc. etc.) meaning that at every contact point between versions there will be weight added, now given that the weight can be added infinite times we conclude at infinite weight.

Concept is lifted from Christopher Nolan's "Doodlebug". Why is no one pointing it out here?
@kcgmail_account40987 жыл бұрын
Seriously, the fact that he didn't credit Nolan makes me think one of two things. It was either stolen (conceptually) or that Nolan's film was lifted from another source as well!? BAFTA shoulda caught on to this, wonder what they came up with.
