Those bank lights would look cool somewhere in the Abby All the paint on the chapel door can be striped off, including on the hardware. That marble table would have been a side table in one of the large living rooms.

Thanks for converting the money for us and especially for including our AUD (Aussie dollars ), as I would have felt left out😉 and it was a quick way for us to know the prices of items in the Antique stores that you visit. I would go mad with the choice of all that pretty china as I have quite a collection now but is so much more rare to be able to find it here in Perth WA. The chapel inside door was very nice but Billy will know what’s right for his chapel won’t he? Thanks for keeping up with your daily videos, we do appreciate them and we realise how much work it must be for you, bye Ryan.

Hello Ryan and Billy, thank you for your wonderful informative vidios. My Son and Daughter have been buying in France for quite a few years now, but sadly have had to stop buying there now due to costs and other factors. My daughter however continues to restore antiques mainly gilding mirrors and furniture, she has recently taken up canning seats of chairs quite a laborious undertaking but she really enjoys the challenge. So if you find yourself in need of work doing she would happily help you. Happy days Ryan !

My mom (she's 80) owns an antique store in Liberty, Texas and has for the last 16+ years. We've been picking and visiting antique shops for decades. The house I grew up in built in 1879. I absolute love watching these antique store videos and the amazing antiques that are there. We think antique here in Texas are old if they are 150+ years old and that would be considered new compared to he stuff I am seeing in these videos. So awesome to see how much is there and the condition and the age... just amazing! Thanks for showing this!!!!

@@wrkey It is possible to bring back some things from France in suitcases ! Some people will ship items, but there may be import taxes. More remote places in the country have good prices. The shops in the 'lads' videos are in more expensive areas. I brought back table linens recently which I hope to sell on a potential Etsy shop.

Hey Ryan😊…. Love shopping with you… love antiques very much !! France has the goods for sure! The chapel door has its own framing so installation would be great! It looks Gothic… would it blend ok at the convent chapel …?? Anyway like the door. The wall hanging (tapestry ) is beautiful 🤩 Wow!! So many gorgeous mirrors… might be difficult to pick one… price may help with deciding! Love you❤. Keep making these amazing videos! Thank you, Ryan !

I absolutely love the bank safe. If there was anyway if getting such a solid and heavy item back to the UK then I would be tempted to buy it. Obviously price dependant too, lol. When I was in the army they had some old safes that where unused and stuck in the corner of offices. I asked if I could buy one but they wouldn’t sell it to me but preferred to just dump them instead. Such a shame. They were almost the same as the one in the shop so extremely thick, solid and heavy metal. Xx

I liked the octagonal (or maybe hexagonal) red and white rug that you passed by in the chair section. That leather chair with the lion arms -- the lions look Chinese to me. I imagine that the wood is beautiful under that paint. It's also interesting to me that since both the convent and the chateau have magnificently high ceilings you look at huge pieces, such as mirrors and frames because they will fit the scale of your buildings. I look at much smaller things because of the scale of my house.

That little round suitcase -- you wondered if it was for hats -- was, in the 1950's in the US anyway, used for hair dryers, the giant rollers we used to set our hair, and for various beauty products. We called them "train cases" as opposed to "suitcases". They were fitted with elasticized pockets around the insides and elasticized straps on the inside of the lid to hold combs, brushes etc.

Love your videos! You have a wonderful way in presenting yourself and whatever you are discussing. Your calming and pleasing voice/attitude is very welcome . I would say the door is magnificent. My only question would be - does it fit the time frame and the overall look of the area it might be placed in. If you have to repair it or rebuild anything missing then I don't think it's worth it. Having to do so would mean that the finishes are going to appear very different and the look would not compliment the the overlook of the period of the chapel and would look our of place.
