I spent 2500 on my 13B rebuild so don't feel bad yet. I have use the same premix and have had no issues in 500 miles. I use 1oz per gallon but I have a RX2.

I have only ever owned and driven rotaries my entire driving life, never premixed in any of my cars, never had a failure of an OMP... one of my cars (first gen) I daily drove for 11 years, 16 years later still running strong, with its OMP. OMP is far more convenient and less prone to error... it also won't forget to add oil and won't get the dosage wrong 😉

shellite I still premix with a omp just that the car had been sitting and only has just 50k mileage it's still almost 40yrs old

Not just milliliters thats popular with us in Australia. We use the whole damn metric system. Everything is based on 0-100. So much simpler.

as for synthetics, correct me if im wrong but i have done research on it and found its additives make the build up? IMO as long as she has oil and is properly lubed through the plug holes and hand spun after along sit your good to go.

ive had a rotary for 5 years,1st gen specifically with a 12a, never premixed ever! heard its like alcohol to a cut, you dont always need it but cant go wrong with it

David Munoz idk I do it in mine just in case the omp isn't working and I don't know I'm not doing a full accuracy 1oz to 1 gal I just put in enough to know that the seals are well lubed

I just bought an 1980 SA with 12A in it. Less than 10.000km since last rebuild but it has been sitting for 20 Years. I’ll probably delete the OMP and premix it with semi synthetic 1:100 (a little more oil than Zack here). I don’t have the money for an apex seal kit, should I still prep the engine for a rebuild or am I good to go 20 years and 10.000km since the last (Professional) rebuild? The engine is full of fogging oil to prevent rust... I know that I have to at least clean the carb to make it run

I heard synthetic oil was bad for rotaries as it doesn't combust and when left in rotaries it can't be properly cycled through the engine and builds up over time. Might only be for your main supply or it could be a load of Internet bollocks, who knows?

1488cc Wankel rotary yea I've heard that they say to use mineral based oil I just use the basic shit from walmart you can get a precise mix bottle and it makes life easy but mines also a stock 12a so I don't think it really needs fancy oil for premixing

1488cc Wankel rotary I use royal purple in mine and I've never had a problem. Royal Purple has a page on their website about running it in rotaries and plus Racing Beat sells it in their rotary catalog.

I run the cheapest stuff I can find and run 1.5oz per gal but the car always gets run dumb hard. I'm currently moding the omp to pull from a tank for the new motor. Since the injectors dont fire when off throttle I don't think just premix is a great solution unless carbed. Even with the omp I'm still gonna run .75oz per gal. Great vid and I do love the bottles I always had a messy storage compartment in my fc because of this lol.

I dont think this is true. Atleast with 13b rew engines. The fuel injectors stay open even off the throttle.

@@ChErRyaVe20pK they don't for long when you get the tps reading down to idle and load is negative it cuts fuel almost all efi cars from the factory do this.

@@ChErRyaVe20pK they can but it's not really a problem for most honestly Mazda already solved it with their omp. I personally just modify them to draw from a tank of premix and this is the only better version of what Mazda did. It's hard to beat the engineers that built it. Carbs would be the best solution all around for road racing if you rev it high but if you don't have a fancy eshaft your not gonna rev that high. My first nice na halfbridge had a stock shaft and we threw some carbon seals at it and the rest of what you need to make it somewhat reliable. We reved that thing to 13k until a shaft moved alitte too much and a rotor ate the iron. This was a drag engine so it didn't get the engine braking treatment like a road race motor would. In short modify your omp rotary aviation sells a nice kit if you can modify your stock one.

yes you should. 200ml or around 7 oz per full tank is enough

Look I'm I'm on engine no 2 2006 rx8 shinka .it's going to smoke. With more than 1 half oz per gal.and plugs will go out fast but cheaper than engine swaps .I got 52000 on the gen 3 4 port mazda put in under warranty.they leaned out the oil injection for emissions at the cost of engine life .mix and drive don't and buy engines run it like a chain saw.
