Mama Tsai is so cute! And kudos to you for holding back when you could, instead of making hurtful comments out loud to your mom. I am also learning to do that with my mom. It's amazing to have followed you through and see how the seasons have changed in your life. It feels like growing older with a friend who knows how I feel and struggle through these seasons, and helping me reframe my mindset💕

Finding solace and being present in silence. I can definitely relate. I recently went on a solo date for the first time since my husband was unable to go. At first I was angry and upset. I had planned all these things we were gonna do and had gotten all dressed up only to be deeply disappointed. But I didn't want to waste my day so I reluctantly left to embark on my special date alone. However, as I continued out and about I actually started to truly enjoy myself. I let go of my frustrations and anger, sat with my feelings, and really began to take in my surroundings. I realized that I was actually enjoying myself a lot and now I make plans to go on more dates by myself. I think being mindful of our thoughts, emotions, and truly getting reacquainted with ourselves as we continue to age through time and experience is a beautiful thing. It's what makes being human so beautiful. So thank you for sharing this Rowena. Once again, it always feels like I am listening to myself talk in your videos. I will never grow tired of your content and it inspires me to keep going with my own channel. Many blessings (oh my god the shopping mentality is so on point its scary)

As a meditation teacher, so much in this video resonated with me. What a lovely tribute to growing up, mother-daughter relationships, and self-exploration. As the seasons are changing right now, this perfectly encapsulates what I’ve been feeling - shifting towards more quietness, reflection, and acceptance of the liminal, transitional times. Thank you 💛

Rowena, I found your channel right when I needed it in my life! Thank you for helping me to make sense of life after loss. I lost my Mom and my husband in the same year and it was devastating. I felt like I had to be strong for the family members around me, But it wasn’t until I started watching your videos that I realized that I can take time to hold space just for me! Thank you and keep doing what makes your heart happy!❤

Lots of love and support! I lost my mum two years ago and went through a similar experience where it was required of me to stay strong. Things will get better, take care and allow yourself to grieve fully.

Rowena I love how much courage you have to share the things your struggling with and learning. It makes me feel a lot less alone when I know I’m not the only one who has no clue what they’re doing lol and slowly learning that that’s okay. I love how you prioritize being present as that’s something I’m working on. And I love your point of presentness being a journey, I never though of it that way. Thank you for all the great videos! Lot of love

I wholeheartedly agree with the conclusion. Sometimes I fully realise a thing about myself or life for the first time and I think "this whole time, it was there, and I didn't see it -- how smoother/fuller/better would my life have been had I known the whole time?"... But that is not how it works. Before you know, you have to _not_ know yet. You have to learn, and for some things that takes years, or decades, or a lifetime as you uncover layers and layers of understanding, and that's okay.

Been seeing videos of urs for a few years now. They always help me ground myself and take a deep breath. For a while I haven't feeling like I'm alive. I'm slowly caring for my nervous sistem and my soul, spending time in nature and with dear friends, living again at my mother's home. And... "I finally arrived at a place where I could hear myself again". Thank you being vulnerable. I deeply appreciate that

I really resonated with what you said about the seasons of not buying anything vs revenge-shopping! I'm going through a period of renewal now too and am also feeling myself interested in shopping again -- for a positive reason because I have more mind-space from (finally) not being on auto-pilot (as opposed to being all about work and literally losing those parts of myself) vs when I was intensely shopping while working to try and "enjoy" what work gives me. I also relate to what you said about feeling inauthentic in realising there are new levels to us (you mention mindfulness, for me it's about being present, mindful, and loving). I felt like I've been on auto-pilot for the last 5 years, and am amazed somehow during that time I met my partner even though I didn't feel like I was all those things. My therapist made me realise I probably have been all those things and am being unnecessarily harsh to myself, and should just embrace the opportunity to be even more authentically me without judging my past. Thank you voicing these and helping me feel accompanies in a truly lifelong journey of self-discovery! ❤

Rowena, youre my favourite youtuber simply because of how real you are. I relate to so much of what you’ve said in this video, especially on spending money to numb ourselves and preaching on mindfulness while being mindless ourselves. I admire how youre able to present yourself with so much of grace whilst reflecting/struggling with a lot of different feelings on the inside. Because i relate to you a lot, your videos remind me that we're all constantly changing and how we see ourselves isnt really how others see us, it reminds me to be intentional while being patient and loving towards myself while I'm still figuring things out. Thank you for your videos, God bless!

I love this! I feel like I was meant to see this. I´ve been interested in going to Korea for the past 4 years but never got to cause of school and other stuff. Now I´m at a point in my life where I could go but I'm hesitant and scared because of what could go wrong, and it feels like I'm a bit too late. But this somehow made me rediscover all the beautiful things I love about Korea and why I wanted to go so desperately in my younger years. I'm still very young but it comes with a lot of thoughts and doubts, as well as pressure from society on what you should and shouldn't do. What risks to take and what risks not to take. Somehow videos, music, and stuff I consume daily always lead me back to Korea in the funniest way possible. Even though there is no title with the word Korea or anything. Even yesterday I went to the TV and a program was playing and I happened to see the 5-minute part about Korea in an hour-long program about different places. This might be funny to some people but to me, I´ve chosen to see it as signs. I used to watch your videos a lot 1 or 2 years ago and now you popped up again with this video. Without having a clue about your video being filmed in Korea I clicked on it and felt like it was another sign telling me to chase that dream my younger self had, even though it feels a bit different and like it´s too late. Thanks for your inspiring words and views on life as always!
