See sense in destryoing them... yes? I myself Live in Rowner and am pleased that whoever is doing something about it.. well is doing something about it, and in that video, in my opinion you showeed one of the worser places in Rowner.

Thank-you. At least you have spoken the truth. When people say to me; 'But 'they' will give you a new home', and I say no, I just get blank looks. As PHA works its way through the estate buying up properties, you try finding those properties on the Land Registry.If you think you are safe in the north of the estate - think again. Check the Rowner Destruction site. There are links to people who have been told their home is safe in all parts of the UK, who are now fighting eviction.

i was born and raised on rowner from when it was navy seen many changes and whilst in the first stage doesnt affect me yet it does affect my parents who live in darwin way they have 3 yrs left of their morgage to pay and are expected to start paying rent in their 60's they have been offered 40'000 not enough to buy a new place and no chance of another morgage - its a disgrace that they are paying pensioners a pittance to move out of their homes and expect them to pay unaffordable rents

I tried to show SOME of the good parts of where we live. The mainstream media always write very unfairly about where we all live, usually just repeating what they have heard elsewhere. If we are to get the attention of media around the country, they need to see where we live first, and not be put off by the usual photo of just one building.

Where did you get that timescale from? The only info given in the leaflets from RR is 2008 to 2015, for the entire scheme. That is, from taking people's homes off them in the south of the area,to finishing in the north by the Tesco shop.I have lost count of the letters I have written, trying to get the truth, and all I have been told is 'sorry, but your home will have to go'.Certainly no mention of 'in ten years time'.

The paperwork we have received from the 'Consortium' is cleverly worded. In no way does it guarantee our homes will not be demolished. You are dealing with property developers and the local/county council here. Just look at their record. They cannot be trusted. If I thought our home was safe, I would never have gone to this trouble.Our home is in the area for 'regeneration', and NOBODY is giving out any info as to what is planned.

my sister lived in Filmer Close in Rowner from 1995-1999. i have fond memories of visiting her down there when i was young and thought at the time it was a nice place to live, despite being a little 'rough'. however, looking at it now on google streetview i am horrified to see that some of the houses have been boarded up with metal shutters!! can anyone who lives near or even on Filmer Close enlighten me as to what is happening with the street? thanks

The answer is, don't accept the offer. insist on a replacement home.If they have to carry out compulsory purchase on a large number of people, it will cost a fortune, so they might as well provide homes from the '£140 million' we keep hearing about.Very few people actually asked for this to happen, because they did not KNOW about it - it was all hatched in secret.There is nothing unreasonable in asking for a decent home, if they wish to take yours.

If that is the situation in which you live, then you are quite justified in fighting for a decent home.I HAVE a decent home, just as many others do who are threatened by this scheme.The only reason given that OURS have to go is to make the scheme financially viable for Taylor Wimpey.If the people responsible for selling substandard homes were made responsible for their actions, it would not be happening like this. Rowner was a place named in gosport aproxmitly 1000 years ago it meant something like contcrete jungle. Rowner is a shit whole apart. From the houses becuase gosport is a navel area we built crapy hpusing and flats so people whp work for the navy could live somewere closr. Bout time

Our home is inside the area marked on the map originally issued by 'the consortium', and shown on the Rowner Destruction website.I have received a letter from the architects, expressing sympathy that our home has to be demolished. I have received a letter from Peter Viggers, explaining our home has to go, so Taylor Wimpey can make enough profit.John Butler, leader of this fiasco, refuses to say in writing that our home is safe.You accuse ME of misinformation? I can only draw your attention to my previous statement.If you own your home, start fighting now. It's no good waiting. That is what the developers want. They do not want to take everyone on at once.I gave my full address when I wrote to everyone, so the replies I received certainly relate to where I live. I suggest you start asking some searching questions, and get something in writing.

Except for one big thing you seem to have completely ignored. These aren't the houses coming down. Effected - Yes, Destroyed - No. In fact, you've not shown any of the area that is, which needs to come down.

Check the rowner-destruction website, and you will see that what I suspected has been confirmed. NONE of our homes are safe, unless we fight for them.(23/11/07)
