For the ivory vest, you can put a double sided fabric tape between gap. Its an instant solution for it.....i also face the same issue and i do this hack all the time. Works like a charm!

The black dress looks so classic, loving its shape. The brooch that it arrived with is not doing the dress any favors. I would try to thrift (or check ETSY) a black pin or brooch. Maybe go to a crafting store to buy the metal backing then sew, glue or attach stones or charms or beads or even a ribbon to the backing. That dress deserves it!

@@Roxxsaurus no problem, hv had thecproblem before, 38DD and 62, experienced a lot of clothing problems, including the front zip of my ballroom dancing frock, breaking, and the safety pin holding the mass of petticoats of a different frock breaking, so had to step out of them, throw them to the side of tbe dance floor and just dance in the overlay which was pretty much see through and sequins they were nicknamed powder puff style because that's what they looked like not like today!! Have seen many of them that weren't weighted go flying down the runway when taken to the plane cargo, hence I always put my shoes in the bag with them lol

The clips are also called a busk or busque. I've made a couple corsets and they are a pain to work with, but they are the best type of corset closure.

Put a snap in the top of the ivory coord. That gap happens when designers don't take breasts in account when doing button placement. Fortunately the fix is a couple of dollars to buy the snaps and 15 minutes hand sewing. BTW, I wore a suit very much like that but with pants leaving my wedding reception (we used to call them going away outfits).😊

For the little white suit dress,my grandmother always sewed in a little snap right in between the gap on her button up blouses because they all would gape across the chest like that otherwise. A cheap, easy fix .

Double sided tape is the best solution for the opening between buttons! Or wear a cute bra and wear the button undone? But when I was younger, I had a perfect outfit and had that similar problem… I tried an inner button that popped all the time and pulled funny, a broach that closed it, but looked out of place, and the best option I found was double sided sticky tape!
