I would say Roy's single greatest performance was against Holland in 2001 when we needed to beat them to qualify for the WC he was everywhere, from the beginning clobbering overmars from the kick off to let them know they won't be having it all their own way that day, he never gave up, he lifted the crowd and the team with his selflessness, unreal out of his skin in the zone performance!

Roy should have stayed IMO, but the FAI haven’t become an iota more professional in the 20+ years since Saipan, with teams having to get changed in airport bathrooms, the Delaney saga, Rice being named player of the year after he left for England, having to be bailed out by the government etc. They are a joke and Keane was right to call attention to it, although wrong to leave the camp.
