oh mercy!! ;0 ohmigodzz jordan, TY so Very Much for covering my grammy's favorite ... :)) she =loved= roy... and all the others she claimed to have seen in that 'pre-amplified' era of rock-music (jerry lee, roger miller, even elvis i think!) back at the county fairs, way back when pre-60's!! really touches my heart to see the history of these folk... :) p.s. blows my mind that 'you got it' was posthumously released?!? that one sounds sooo 'in the day' of his best early work!! bittersweet... but, i'd hafta think... ;0 roy wouldn't want it any other way!! :) (plus, couldn't have anything to do with a few of the beatles being fans of you?? ;0 and pushing ya as friends to come back out onto the stage?? ;0 omg... =what a life= that man had!! :) ... coming to the end of your viddy... "i'm cryin'!!" ;0 happily, of course!! :) allll those wonderful memories in that museum... :)

Roy Orbison's voice still reaches right to the heart of my soul. He turned the word "crying" into six divine syllables, forever transformed. What a voice! So happy to have heard him, as growing up to his music gave a way into another, more beautiful dimension. Heaven sent. Thank you for bringing the Wink here, Lion Man. ❤

Well, this 4 year old video just popped up and I am subscribed. I found Roy to be one of my favorite singers back in the very early sixties with "CRYING". In the 70's I purchased and still have an original MONUMENT LABEL 33 1/3 double album, Roy Orbison's greatest hits. I own a 1961 Seeburg AY160 Stereo Jukebox. Holds 80 records (45 RPM) X 2 sides = 160 songs. Two in there by Roy "California Blue" and "IN Dreams". Another he wrote and had a huge hit with is in there too but my copy is the covered version by Linda Ronstadt "Blue Bayou" . Thanks Jordan, the museum small but big in heart.🤩🤩🤩

When Roy and his teen band mates performed on KMID-TV here in Midland, TX on Saturday evenings, my mother would turn off the TV. His nasally voice while singing Oobie Doobie would annoy the heck out of her. From then on she would refer to Roy as Oobie Doobie . For her 80th birthday I hired a Roy Orbison impersonator. She got a big kick out of the joke. Roy actually lived here for a time and got his big break here when Elvis and Johnny Cash invited him to perform with them at a couple of concerts at Midland High school in the mid-1950’s. Roy also co-wrote ‘Only the Lonely’ when he lived here. I happen to be a big fan of his singing, unlike my late mother, God rest her soul.

That's was so interesting Jordan, Roy Orbison songs have always been around, when i was growing up, on the radio, tv, never knew anything about his life, no wonder he became a kind of recluse after loosing his sons and his first wife, total tragedy, glad he found someone to share the rest of his life with later, the museum, i hope after your vlog which was excellent, brings many visitors, and some much needed buisness, Thankyou that was a fab vlog, goooodbye xxx 😀
