What is capturing everyone's love here is Roy Orbison's truly celestial voice and lest we forget, the truly beautiful MELODY . . . something so sadly lacking in today's music. Not surprising that music "retro" has such a new and growing fan base. . It's MUSIC, ladies and gentlemen!

Today is a very sad day for me. I'm so low my belly is dragging on the floor. My poor dad who I love dearly passed away due to covid. I myself have the virus because he needed help. My mum called me 2 days ago because my dad had fell and she could not get him up. I knew they was both ill but I had to help and I guessed I would get the virus. Once my dad was up I spent an hour with him and I'm so glad as it would be the last time I would see, touch and speak with him. I come to this video because this is the song I will play at his funeral. He was a big fan of Roy and this song speaks to me in ways that mean so much. Im not a religious person but I'm not against it as everyone has there own ways to deal with what life throws at you. I believe when you sleep you are just practicing for your final deep sleep. +87mreynolds Elvis never said that, he said that Roy Orbison is the best male singer but that's because Elvis was very humble, he said of several singers they are the best; like also of Pat Boone and one time he said that Fats Domino is the king of rock 'n roll; Elvis Presley is the most versatile singer ever= rock, ballads, country, blues, soul, gospel... which can not be said of Roy Orbison. Elvis is also the only singer taken up in all the halls of fame and in every music style he had his hits also something what can not be said of Roy Orbison. Btw Elvis could sing like Roy, for ex with It's now or never, Surrender; and at the endi of his life Elvis sang even like an opera singer with for ex Hurt and Unchained melody and this at June 26 1977 .

I remember a docu where Jeff Lynne recalled the first time he called Roy. Roy's wife answered, and Jeff was so overcome with emotion, he had to hang up without explaining who he was. He called back 15 minutes later and talked to his hero. Anyone who reveres Roy Orbison is all right in my book. The man was an angel.
