A great job in putting together a photographic record of history - I greatly admire those who take the time and care to do such great jobs.

Great piece of work here recognising the immense railway infrastructure and heritage. Amazing how, over a relatively short period of history, nature has reclaimed this once mighty impressive sign of innovation

Thanks Adam, when we were filming down here we spoke with people walking their dogs and they didn't know what was once here!

Excellent again. You did well getting all the footage where things were. There used to be a turntable near our offices at Carlton North Sidings. We used to put the odd diesel on there in the late 60s to park them up while the wagons were sorted out for them. Never did get a 55D Shedplate, though rumour has it that the staff used them to skim the pond behind the sheds. Fancy scuba diving to find out LOL

Thanks for this insight. I used to ride field bikes around the triangle in the late 80's when it was all quite open (no trees). Its changed quite a lot in that regard. Grandad was a driver at the shed and I wish I had looked for all the evidence of the old infrastructure. Sadly it was before the Internet era and information on the history of the shed was more difficult to come by. Brought back memories, thanks.

There used to be a house at the other side of that tunnel at the start, and some sewage works nearby... I think they were connected.
