the combination of meth and hypothermia is probs why they left the car - lots of hypothermia victims are found naked outside bc the body tries to use all its last energy to heat you up and often people actually get overheated in those final moments before their bodies give out
@cedartheyeah.justyeah.39672 жыл бұрын
No, it's worse than that. You know how when you're sick with a fever, you feel cold? With hypothermia, you're actually extremely cold but feel hot. A lot of people try to take their clothes off because of that, but they just get colder.
@karaoconnoraliasraidra2 жыл бұрын
@@cedartheyeah.justyeah.3967 I’ve heard of that; it’s called paradoxical undressing. I remember a while back someone talked about an incident in which naked people were found frozen to death and asked, “Why did they undress if it was cold? That seems weird to me!” like it was some unexplainable mystery. People then bought up that paradoxical undressing is a thing and made the guy look stupid. (Note: I’m not saying simply being ignorant about the phenomenon is bad; what’s bad is the guy trying to weave some fantastic theory instead of taking the time to research “How often do people with hypothermia strip naked?”)

Meth caused SEVERE anxiety hallucinations. They are real enough at the time you would run into a snow storm naked to get away from the nightmare your brain created. Awful drug.

paradoxical undressing is because when you are cold, your blood vessels constrict to keep heat in the core. eventualy it gets too cold and it gives up causing a rush of warm blood to the cold skin. like jumping in a hot tub after being in a cold pool.

I remember watching this PSA about workplace safety where a cook talks about how she was almost married and could have been promoted to sous-chef, and how she "really should have been more strict about spills" or... something to that regard, before slipping on a spill and dropping ten gallons of deep-fry oil directly on her face. The Samaritans' PSA of "Scream (Corner of Ignorance) really stuck by me simply because of how effective it is. From the implication that the woman's trying to talk about her feelings/depression but we (the audience) do not understand her and don't want to talk about the uncomfortable topic, hence why the camera pans away, all while showing her distress and tearfully begging the cameraman to come back (as well as mouthing "I'm sorry"). Really drives the point, but I won't lie that I wanted to give that woman a hug. Whenever I think of PSAs, I first think about some of the infamous ones by Autism Speaks. I Am Autism is one of them, where its footage of people in monochrome, with the voice of a man over the footage, saying stuff like "[autism] will ruin your marriage." Its been a minute, so I dont recall all that happened in the video. Its certainly not as creepy as some of the ones shown in this video, but for an ad about autism, it certainly feels like they are trying to focus on fear mongering tactics just like these ones.

The kids literally watch their friends die and then they just move on and continue their game of Cowboys and Indians. Also, shout out to "The Finishing Line" for bring less of a PIF about train safety and more like a horror film with one of the most terrifying endings I've ever seen. I remember there was this one psa from one truth or something like that, it was aired on KZbin ads. It had like 4 Teens being in this haunted house and one of the teens was locked in this room with a person who looked exactly like her but was drenched a bathtub fill with black water or blood and I forgot was happened to the other 3 kids but I know that one of them escaped.

there was a psa from the s*xl abuse towards the children and there was a woman in the kitchen, and had a baby monitor and you could hear the little girl get (you know what) by her dad or uncle but it's truly disturbing that psa

This really brought to light and somewhat proved that PSAs are extremely over the top for no reason and unbelievably unreasonable. Also loved the vid! You have a new sub

omg I love your content SO MUCH the snappy editing and the commentary just the production of it all is refreshing. An unsolicited critique, maybe consider putting together a more consistent theme in your thumbnails so people can recognize you in their feed!! looking forward to the next video :D

honestly; the PSA's i remember Vividly are the early psa's released by the real cost, I was a kid around the time they started airing on the Tv, i'm about 18 now and i can say that the earlier psa's(and the ones revolving around dip) had a lotta impact compared to the ones now

There's a few KZbin channel dedicated to weird and creepy PSA's (heads up England has so many fucked up weird PSAs). But the one that I remember the most is this one PETA one where its showing a bunch of clips of people yelling and screaming out as they're getting hurt (like an old lady is getting mugged kinda hurt) and then it cuts to a fish opening its mouth and it says something like 'fish can't scream'. Yeah that one was rough.

I watched the bear play by itself and it almost made me cry. Not because of the topic, but the pure HORROR of watching a man having to be strapped to a chair and having a METAL ROD thats ON FIRE shoved in his head. Sheesh, Peta. Chill out.
