The 7th gen iPad is so pointless. You get an extra 1gb of ram but it’s power is being used more towards a bigger display the A10 chip works harder making the 6th gen faster somehow. I had an 8th gen iPad and I found it worse than the 6th gen. The speakers were just pad the 6th gen iPad is like the perfect iPad for a budget on sale in the apple store should be supported till iPad os 16.

As a person with a IPad Air 4 It beats out all i have a 7th generation it's fast It has the same chip as the IPhone 12.

@@normalcraftingtable7906 the ipad 7th gen is an A10 chip the ipad air has the A14 the same as the iphone 12 models. Is that what you meant?

@@Ruban69 yes but remember the A10 was introduced in 2016 we are going on A15 & the A16 also comes out in the fall. You can find Ipads refurbished with better chipsets. Like the mini 5 with an A12 for $329 or ipad 9th A13 for $300 for students. Its a way better lifespan.

Hi ! Your review has been very very helpful to me ! A very good review for both models. I was in doubt buying 6th or 7th. After I've seen your review my mind is clearer now. Probably I'll get the 6th one because here in Italy prices for a model vs the other one are very different and 8th one is very more expensive compared to both of them, even I'm talking about reconditioned models (all of three). Probably I'll buy on Amazon Renewed because I'll have an year to test if everything's all right ; in case something will going wrong I'll send it back and get a full refund. Thanks !

I want the iad 2 but idk if I should spend that much on something that old... I guess just an original iPad is good enough for me, since mine is jailbroken and has tweaks to make it less obsolete like to make KZbin work again, twitter work again, and to make the App Store download older versions of apps again since iOS 11 is 64-bit only and since the iPad 1 is 32-bit, you can't download anything that requires iOS 11+, even if the app has an older version available. At least iCloud and other Apple services in iOS 5 still work, even the iTunes Store.

I can confirm that both iPads work incredibly smoothly on iPadOS 13 and 14. The noticeable difference only shows on iPadOS 15.

@@courttttttt The geekbench scores are all up in latest updates especially 15.6 RC1. My dad’s iPad Gen 7 has 3gb of ram so it’s a little better than mine.

Those two iPads remind me of the iPod touch 6 & 7. Why? Well because the camera on the iPad 6 camera is identical with the iPod touch 6 and the iPad 7 camera is identical with the iPod touch 7.
