Kind of crazy to how far the fab skills have come. I know you guys talk about your fab skills tongue in cheek but the bottom line is today you blew a piece of exhaust piping apart and were able to go back to the shop fab up a new piece, get back to the track and make another two or three passes. In the past that would have been a week of waiting for Profab or someone to make a new exhaust pipe. You guys are 100% a legit race team at this point.

You guys, and everyone racing with 2020 technology don't know how fast you are running. When I used to track race (late '70's / early '80's in New England) I did bracket racing with my '69 Camaros. I ran "Heavy Eliminator" bracket, and ran best of 12.84 @ 117 + mph. Everyone thought I was crazy to not only race my daily driver, but drive it from Cape Cod , MA, to Epping , New Hampshire to race, then drive it home again, then drive the Camaro to work the next day. I think back to how fast high 12 seconds in the quarter was, and that mine was a crazy fast street car for it's day. Funny cars used to cut a 6, 7, or 8 second trap times. The fact that you guys drove a car to the track and ran in the 8's is unbelievably fast. Very impressive and a feat to be proud of. Great job guys. Take care

Torque converter set up may be limiting it to 8’s ( hence why it seemed like a bracket car/ consistent / any driver/ many boost maps goes 8’s) motor could make 2.5k hp, but car may still wanna go 8’s cause of powerglide and converter set up. ( paralleling Leroy and the slipping clutch )

10:46 there's an expansion joint which can grow considerably with temperature and or compensate. There typically is a flow guide ring to prevent debris build up and loss in flow performance (it's usually a straight tube joined at one end only. There may even be two tubes, one overlapping the other. The expansion joint typically must be installed in a straight line to avoid deflection of the outer bellow and contacting the inner flow guide tube. There should be spec's on how much installation deflection is allowed at specific temperature, that or make it near perfect. As you can see the forces involved in thermal expansion is massive.
