I had bi-lateral partial (medial) knee replacement 11 months ago and today I just started doing a little bit of light running but it’s been a long road to get to this point. I had to work very hard to strengthen my muscles around the knee with yoga and weights and Pilates also, I’m curious he doesn’t seem to have any scars on his knees… I have long scars - probably 6 inches.

Hi there Teri Lynn. Congratulations on your return to running and much respect for the work you put in to accomplish that. Lanny had a medial partial knee replacement using our MAKO robotic system. This helps minimize the incision size and the reduce the amount of tissue removed during surgery, but Lanny definitely had an incision and a surgery scar.
