I love how Jackie Chan can have such great chemistry with other actors, especially for comedies. He's equally great with Chris Tucker and with Owen Wilson - which are about as far apart as you could get in comedy styles - and all with English being a very second language. It's really impressive and entertaining.

Fun reaction, Addie. Rush Hour 2 (2001) is a great sequel that has twice the fun, twice the action, and twice the chair-ography (and even some roulette wheel-ography near the end). I also like how you enjoyed those bloopers during the credits of both films because some stunts are hard to pull off and some lines are hard to memorize. Jackie Chan & Chris Tucker are still the duo that you need, even after having watched some suspenseful movies like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022) & Predator (1987). Next stop, Rush Hour 3 (2007). And a fourth film is in the works. BTW, I've been on vacation to Hong Kong three times, in 2016, 2017 & 2019 and it was great.

Chris Tucker singing karaoke of Michael Jackson's song is the best scene of the whole Rush Hour franchise. Michael Jackson himself called Chris Tucker & told Chris he liked it. Michael aslo jokingly criticised Chris for doing the Michael Jackson kick using the wrong leg. Michael kicks with the right leg, Chris kicks with the left.

I love Rush Hour 2 so much. I would always put this movie on and have it going in the background because it's the sort of movie you can just watch any time. It's fun, entertaining, and has the perfect blend of action and comedy. Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker have AMAZING chemistry and this movie would not work if you replaced either actor with another. They go together perfectly and I love that each of them have their moment to shine in this movie. The "No wonder you mad" line gets me every time.

Considering how much you love Jackie Chan, any chance you might react to some of his Hong Kong films? His American stuff is usually hit or miss, Rush Hour and Shanghai Noon/Knights are exceptions, but his Hong Kong films are what made him a household name. Drunken Master (1978) is probably the first one where the Jackie we know and love on-screen first emerged and still holds up, but there are just too many to name that are great.

2:49 Always kicking with the wrong leg, Chris. :) "Tucker quipped about Jackson’s alleged reaction to the Rush Hour 2 scene in The Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Celebration (2001). Taking the stage to introduce Jackson, he spoke about their friendship and joked about a phone call he received after the release of Rush Hour 2. “Michael called me on the phone. He said, ‘Is this Chris Tucker? … This is Michael Jackson,'” he claimed, mimicking the singer’s soft voice. “I said, ‘What’s up, Mike?’ He said, ‘I just wanna call you and tell you, I seen your movie Rush Hour 2… and you’re kicking with the wrong leg. Stop making me look bad.” He then welcomed Jackson on to the stage, who performed his 2001 song “You Rock My World.” At the end of the performance, Tucker returned to the stage, joining him in dance. Jackson burst into laughter and fell on the floor as Tucker, once again, kicked with the wrong leg."

@@nsasupporter7557 Chris Tucker was one of the highest paid actors when he filmed rush hour and rush hour 2. He had multiple movies lined up he was set to star in, he was set up to be the next Martin Lawrence/Eddie Murphy but he walked away from Hollywood.

@@justinwashington7076 and I’m still saying that that’s not true! Tucker was nowhere near the level of Eddie Murphy or Martin Lawrence… I’ll say it again, he wasn’t in very many movies and when he was he was just the supporting character. Chris Tucker is/was not a big star at all. The Rush Hour franchise, The first Friday movie, Money Talks, The 5th Element, Silver Lining’s Playbook. Those were the only movies that he was in… as far as I know and also he wasn’t ever the starring role, he was the costar or the supporting actor. That not a “big star” status. But I can’t control you thinking your fantasy world. Do what you want

If you're interested in pursuing Jackie Chan any further then I'd recommend Police Story. It's got a really different vibe than most of the movies you've watched on the channel, but it also has a much younger and in his absolute physical prime Jackie Chan performing some of the most amazing stunts ever committed to film. Sprinkle on some charming physical comedy and you're guaranteed a good time.
